Areas of application on wood

Not only for professional users!

Aqua ML-69 is a 3-in-1 paint system. It contains a primer, an interlayer and a final coat. It was produced on a water-based basis, and is designed for painting metals, hard plastics and wood. Thanks to its 3-in-1 versatility, the product is suitable for creating opaque coatings such as RAL, NCS both indoors and outdoors.

Whether for metal, hard plastic or wood substrates, thanks to its certified corrosion protection (C3 according to DIN ISO EN 12944) and optimal insulating effect, Aqua ML-69/sm paint system can be used on almost all substrates, both indoors and outdoors.

Among the indicated areas of application, we can enumerate:

metallic substrates: iron (galvanized) steel, non-anodized aluminum and zinc, metal components: e.g. fences, frames, railings, drain pipes, trapezoidal sheet metal, metal cladding, radiators
hard plastics: hard PVC, PUR, acrylic and melamine
dimensionallyunstable wooden building elements, such as fences, half-timbered structures, carports, formwork
dimensionallystable wooden building elements, such as shutters, wooden profiles, garden sheds.

Note: not suitable for use on floors.

Areas of application on metal

Application

Universal Aqua ML-69/sm can be applied by brush, roller or spray. For airmix spraying, use a nozzle of 0.28-0.33 mm and a material pressure of 100-140 bar, while the pressure on the atomizer should be: 1.2-2 bar. When painting with airless spray, a nozzle of 0.28-0.33 mm, material pressure of 100-140 bar is advisable. It is very important to observe drying times between work stages. The coating becomes dust-dry after about 1 hour, and is dry to the touch after about 4 hours. On the other hand, it is suitable for the application of subsequent coats - after 6 hours.

The values listed above have been tested in practice at 20°C and relative humidity (w.w.p.) = 65%. Please note that low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity will prolong the drying process.

Areas of application on plastics

Consumption

pure ferrous metals: 2-3 x 100-120 ml/m²
hard plastics, non-ferrous metals and workable old coatings: 2-3 x 100-120 ml/m²
wood: 2-3 x 100 - 120 ml/m².

Colors

When an authentic looking metallic coating is needed, the Aqua ML-69/sm product is available in various colors containing iron oxide mica. The Remmers Mix color mixing system makes it possible to obtain any coloration of Aqua ML-69/sm product according to RAL, NCS and Remmers palette.
