Cerrad with new innovative technology

11 of January '21

The manufacturer is getting closer to making a significant investment in the ceramics industry.

Cerrad
is investing more than PLN 122 million in a pioneering technology. An innovative and environmentally friendly pilot line for the production of large-format, deeply structured stoneware tiles is being built in Starachowice. The manufacturer is betting on environmentally friendly solutions.

Thanks to the innovation, there will be a line designed to produce large-format ceramic tiles in stoneware technology with the use of soft deficiencies, created at the stage of product formation, and enabling the production of deep structure in the product. The planned production line will allow the introduction of new and unique products to the market. It will also reduce the need for raw materials, water and energy, raise production economics and reduce environmental impact.

Despite the reality of the pandemic, we are finding new and effective solutions, while at the same time consistently pursuing the chosen development strategy of implementing further ambitious projects. The pro-environmental line, unique on a European scale, is proof that Cerrad is focused on innovation and development of its product offer, but is also a socially responsible enterprise," says Paweł Bąk, chairman of the board of Cerrad.

Cerradsuccessfully combines the world of science with the company's practice. Together with the AGH University of Science and Technology, it carries out research and development projects that are recognized by public institutions and obtains significant funds for them from the European Funds.
