2026 further underscores the change in approach to interior design initiated in previous years. Architects and builders are increasingly treating acoustics not as an add-on, but as an integral functional and aesthetic element of a project. In office, educational, cultural or residential spaces, sound comfort is becoming as important as ergonomics or lighting.

Acoustic walls - precise sound control
DPS acoustic walls work well in places where precision counts and just soundproofing the ceiling is not enough, such as recording studios, movie theaters, auditoriums, multimedia spaces, concert halls, conference rooms, churches but also living rooms and offices in private homes. Trenderotextile walls ,together with acoustic ceilings, form systems with high sound absorption efficiency.

Small and large format systems - acoustics where it's needed
DPS acoustic panels can be used point-wise or made into larger compositions. Mounted on walls, ceilings or as free-standing elements, they allow to precisely shape acoustics in selected zones:

Examples of DPS acoustic systems
DPS acoustic systems have been tested for sound absorption efficiency, and their designs allow designers to select a solution that perfectly matches the interior function. One of the most versatile systems is the combination of a DPS membrane with Ø0.15 mm microperforation and a layer of 80 mm thick mineral wool with a density of 37 kg/m³. The microperforation is responsible for absorbing high frequencies, while the mineral wool effectively attenuates mid and low bands, so the system provides a wide spectrum of performance and is perfect for offices, conference rooms or educational spaces.

The second solution is a design based on two micro-perforated DPS diaphragms with an air void between them. Such an arrangement acts as an acoustic resonator, significantly increasing the efficiency of sound absorption in the mid-frequency range. It's a proposition particularly appreciated in recording studios, listening rooms and multimedia rooms, where precise acoustic control is crucial.

Another layout uses Trendero TR085 Classic Voice or TR086 Dark Voice textiles in combination with 40 mm thick mineral wool. Trendero fabrics are designed for sound absorption, and their structure promotes reverberation reduction. Combining them with the mineral absorber creates a solution that combines high acoustic performance with an elegant appearance, ideal for offices, hotels, restaurants and other spaces where aesthetics are as important as acoustic comfort.

The last of the presented layouts combines the striking DPS Mirror panel with a sound absorber placed behind the membrane. The mirrored surface serves a decorative function and optically enlarges the space, while the hidden absorber effectively reduces reverberation. This solution is particularly suitable for hotel lobbies, event halls and modern offices, where both acoustics and a spectacular visual effect are important.

Designers increasingly expect a complete digital product library. DPS Group provides BIM models of its acoustic solutions, which significantly facilitates work in design environments such as Revit and ArchiCAD.
