Every building has individual requirements. People, staying there every day, have different needs. So how do you create buildings that are truly livable for their occupants, while also being environmentally friendly and meeting the requirements of energy-efficient buildings? GEZE, a company specializing in window, door and security system automation, has launched myGEZE Control, a new building automation module. The product provides INTEGRATION of door, window and security systems and their central control in a building management system. The solution improves security, supports sustainable processes and enhances occupant comfort.

Sustainability

The energy efficiency and sustainability of a building depend largely on the intelligent cooperation of window drives with heating, air conditioning and lighting systems. This results, for example, in climate-active facades that are automatically controlled by sensors. This saves energy and contributes to environmental protection.

Safety in every building

With myGEZE Control in school buildings, the manager can have the automatic doors under control in operation mode and - for example, in particularly dangerous situations - lock them at any time via software. In shopping centers, thanks to automatic control, the facility manager can react immediately in an emergency situation and lock the exterior or interior doors. And in nursing homes or hospitals, thanks to the use of intelligent building control systems, patients cannot accidentally open the exterior doors and leave the protected building unattended.

Well-being of building occupants

To ensure a pleasant room climate, it is worthwhile to use automatic ventilation concepts. In summer, when the temperature drops at night, windows can be opened, so the building will be cooled. In addition, existing windows in smoke and heat extraction systems can also act as ventilation windows.

Smart network connections can offer even more benefits. Doors can be automatically locked from a certain time, eliminating the need for security guards, allowing more flexible scheduling of staff and reducing costs. Barrier-free access is not only needed for people with limited mobility, robots can also be integrated into daily building processes.

Monitoring and remote access

With the digital visualization of myGEZE VISU , the facility manager always has an overview of all components and can immediately check whether access is blocked, for example. The error message from the various systems immediately reaches those in charge, who can immediately react and initiate maintenance measures. If a sabotage is noticed, the fault message is sent directly to specific people, so you can quickly, for example: close doors, activate alarm systems, etc. The network system not only reports technical faults when a product already has a failure. It warns in advance, for example, with a maintenance message. This allows facility managers to react in a timely manner before a device malfunction occurs.

Centralized monitoring and operation or time-controlled switching of operating modes of even remote components reduce personnel costs and increase the operational safety of buildings. An efficient and secure building automation system for GEZE products and more

The central device is a standard controller (programmable logic controller). The hardware component consists of a control system with an integrated PC that has a certified BACnet communication interface. GEZE products can thus be integrated into all popular building control technology, hazard management and CAFM systems. Due to the open standard, various interoperable applications with other mechanisms are possible, such as blinds, weather station, heating, ventilation, and room automation. This means increased comfort and minimized costs in your building.
