AHUs made to pool standard

Swimming pool air-handling units are specialized air-handling units with high resistance to corrosion and the effects of chlorine compounds. Equipping pool air-handling units with a heat pump significantly increases the heat recovery coefficient oand enables air dehumidification during summer periods, when supplying 100% fresh air does not ensure maintenance of the required air humidity. An additional advantage of using a heat pump in a pool unit is the ability to recover heat from the exhaust air and transfer it to heating the pool water. The pool units treat fresh air, as well as exhaust air from the pool hall, which is very humid and contains aggressive chlorine compounds.

AHUs made in hygienic standard

High hygienic standard

Hygienic standard air handling units are designed for hospital facilities, pharmaceutical plants, laboratories and other rooms where maintaining cleanliness and sterility plays a key role.

Hygienic AHUs from VBW Engineering meet the strict requirements of the German DIN 1946-4 standard, confirmed by the TÜV Certificate and Hygienic Certificate, in terms of specific processing and high-quality materials used. All materials used meet health requirements and prevent the growth of microorganisms.

Features of VBW Engineering hygienic air handling units:

  • Construction of surfaces in contact with treated air from at least galvanized sheet metal, coated with a layer of at least 25 um or powder-coated with a layer of 60 um
  • Floor made of stainless steel (1.4301), or aluminum alloy (AlMg), shaped to allow easy drainage of water after washing the surface
  • All fastening elements such as rivets, fixing screws, sheet metal screws, guides made of stainless steel
  • Smooth interior surfaces
  • Stainless steel drip trays for complete drainage of condensate
  • Non-porous sealing materials
  • Easy access to all components of the air handling unit
  • Inspection windows (min. 150 mm diameter) and lighting in filter, fan and humidifier sections (window can be blacked out)
  • Mechanical properties of the air handling unit housing:

Air handling units made with explosion-proof elements

Explosion-proof ventilation units will find their application in buildings and rooms requiring special protection. Explosion-proof units are products designed for use in places where there is a likelihood of explosive compounds, liquids, gases, vapors or dust-air mixtures with flammable and explosive properties.
