Archicad 27 - design
In the latest version, the ability to view Project Versions and manage projects has been improved. Archicad 27 helps the team organize and optimize files, even as the size and complexity of projects continues to grow.
Key enhancements in the design area include:
- Integrated Project Versions, which means faster and more efficient analysis and sharing of design alternatives.
- Fast modeling with Distance Indicators, which means more convenient positioning of model elements on projections.
- Modern GDL editor, taking care of the designer's eyesight.
- Organization of Graphic Substitutions, or faster and easier management of rules and combinations thanks to better organization in folders and the new Search function.

Archicad enables collaboration with project teams using OPEN BIM. This allows you to implement flexible, intuitive and industry-leading design workflows with multiple trades, including plant and structural engineers.

Archicad 27 - visualization
Archicad provides turnkey solutions and enhancements through connections with other professional tools for creating architectural visualizations. Among the important features from the visualization area it is worth mentioning:
- Native support for FBX format.
- Direct connection to rendering programs such as Twinmotion, D5 Render, NVIDIA Omniverse, Lumion, Enscape and many others.
- Accurate sun positioning in BIMx.

Lumen - a dynamic Global illumination system
The groundbreaking system of dynamic global lighting and reflections in Unreal Engine 5 is now available in Twinmotion. With the Lumen system, indirect lighting adapts on the fly to changes in direct lighting or geometry. For example, by changing the angle of the sun depending on the time of day or opening an exterior door, the scene will update in real time, providing a new level of realism.

Support for Adobe Substance 3D materials
You can now import parametric Adobe Substance 3D materials in SBSAR format and store them in the Twinmotion library; these can be materials created independently in Substance Designer or from one of the many material libraries available in this format. All parameters are available for editing in the Twinmotion properties panel, and textures are generated immediately after changes are made.
Importing animated files (early access)
This version introduces the ability to import animated FBX, glTF and GLB files into Twinmotion to create more advanced effects. The feature includes support for both static mesh and skeletal mesh, and offers the ability to loop motion, delay its start and trim entry and exit points. For skeletal objects that have multiple animations, you can also choose which animation to play.
Multimedia preview
We have added the ability topreview the media camera view while editing a scene in a second live view. This makes it much faster and easier to position elements, such as lights or shadow-casting objects, that are not in the camera frame.

Improved weather phenomena
We have redesigned rain and snow effects to improve their visual fidelity, including the way accumulated rain appears on different surfaces and how water droplets splash over puddles.
Transparencies for water in the Path Tracer engine
Path Tracer now correctly renders transparency for water, making it possible to show elements such as lakes, pools and ponds much better.
