For architects, the ceiling as the fifth wall is a matter of course. In interior design, however, it is not just an aesthetic gesture, but a conscious handling of material, light and detail. The ceiling organizes the composition, gives rhythm through modular divisions, defines the proportions of the space and influences its perception.
