James Hardie is a global leader in cement-fiber technology, developing materials that combine the durability of mineral components with the aesthetics of natural textures for more than a century. The company operates 19 manufacturing plants and three R&D centers, providing solutions for residential and commercial construction on several continents.
In Europe, its strength is based on the integration of two brands, James Hardie®, which specializes in autoclaved boards and facade panels, and fermacell®, a manufacturer of gypsum-fiber boards and drywall systems. The merger follows the acquisition of fermacell GmbH in 2018, creating a comprehensive offering for wood, energy-efficient and prefabricated construction. In Poland, the company operates as James Hardie Europe GmbH (Ltd.) Warsaw Branch.

fermacell® - intelligent drywall systems
The second pillar of the range is fermacell® gypsum-fiber boards, which, thanks to their homogeneous structure without paper facing, are characterized by:
- high impact resistance (Brinell hardness of 30 N/mm²),
- excellent acoustics (parameters up to Rw = 74 dB),
- factory water repellency,
- density of 1150 kg/m³,
- A2-class non-flammability.
These panels are ideal for use in buildings with higher fire and acoustic requirements - schools, offices, hospitals, as well as in wooden structures.
