STEP 1: Find out what it's made of
DELABIE chooses materials responsibly. We rely primarily on those that are already recycled, such as brass (99%), Inox (50-65%) or ZAMAK (ZNAL) or aluminum. All of these materials are also recyclable.

STEP 2: Save water
Pay attention to a parameter such as the outflow from the fixture. In the case of DELABIE fixtures, it is one of the lowest in the world: 3 l/min for sinks and 6 l/min for showers. Second, take the responsibility of closing the outflow away from the user and rely on a mixer that closes it by itself. As for mechanical solutions, for example, the discharge time in a timed mixer for washbasins is limited to 7 seconds. Electronic mixers, on the other hand, regulate it automatically by means of a sensor, detecting the presence of the user in the detection field.

Bet on the right flushing systems. For urinals, we suggest 3-second flush systems, and electronic models additionally have INTENSIVE MODE, i.e. they adjust the flush volume to the current traffic volume. For toilets, a pressure flush system from DELABIE is an excellent solution. It does not have a tank in its design, thus preventing leaks, because it is the mechanism in the tank that is the most failure-prone and generates these leaks. Water loss can then reach as much as 600 liters of water per day!

STEP 3: Save energy
You can always choose a timed mixer that functions on its own, without electricity at all, but DELABIE's electronic mixers don't require much energy to function. We chose active pulse infrared technology for our battery-powered models, a low energy consumption solution. Such models have an average life of 350,000 cycles (3 to 6 years), depending on how often they are activated. The lithium batteries used are standard batteries available on the market and are recyclable.

STEP 4: Repair, don't throw away
