Depending on the desired effect and the technical conditions of the facility, we offer a choice of two refined and field-proven terrazzo flooring systems:

1. Bautech Terrazzo:

Description: A classic, textured system solution with a thickness of 8–15 mm. It allows for the embedding of medium and large aggregate fractions into a colored concrete base.

Visual effect: A striking, dynamic composition with a bold pattern that creates a strong accent and infuses the space with a powerful, distinctive energy. It builds a unique and refined atmosphere, creating a spectacular, deep pattern with a luxurious character. Ideal for lobbies, museums, banks, and areas with extremely high foot traffic and high aesthetic requirements.

2. Bautech MikroTerrazzo:

Description: A modern, thin-layer micro-terrazzo with a thickness of just 4–8 mm. A concrete mix of a specific color is filled with fine aggregate.

Visual effect: A cohesive, harmonious floor surface with a calm rhythm and predictable appearance. It brings order and an elegant, balanced aesthetic to the interior. It does not dominate the space but subtly complements it. It provides a more subdued, uniform, and predictable visual effect in the spirit of minimalism. It works perfectly where we are limited by threshold heights or ceiling load-bearing capacity, as well as in high-traffic areas with a “calm” aesthetic.

Architects value terrazzo floors for their ability to create a monolithic, perfectly smooth surface without joints or grout lines. This eliminates visual barriers and makes the space appear larger.
Resistance to abrasion, scratches, and impacts, combined with striking aesthetics, makes terrazzo flooring ideal for commercial spaces, where an elegant floor surface often serves as the main decorative element. A floor built using the terrazzo system is a work of art in itself!

High thermal conductivity ensures that the flooring system works seamlessly with underfloor heating.
Low water absorption and chemical resistance. Thanks to deep and surface impregnation with specialized BAUTECH products, the floor becomes highly durable, impermeable, and protected against stains of various origins. It is easy to keep clean and does not become permanently soiled.
Endless design possibilities. The base can be colored to any shade, and the variety of aggregates and their density within the mixture determine the final visual effect. Finally, the freedom to finish the surface with a satin, gloss, or matte finish.
Durability and environmental friendliness —floors made using terrazzo technology can, if necessary, be renovated multiple times, meaning that even after years of use, they can be restored to their original freshness and luster.

The Bautech Futura system allows the cement base for terrazzo to be colored in any shade (as defined by the NCS color palette).

Mineral aggregates—such as marble, granite, or quartz—are embedded in the matrix prepared in this way. The architect decides not only on the stone’s color scheme but, together with a BAUTECH technologist, also on the density of the aggregate and the final finish of the slab (ranging from a deep matte and satin finish to a spectacular high gloss that mimics a mirror).
