NOE-PL - shape your concrete four ways

12 of February '26

Modern architecture is increasingly treating concrete not only as a structural material, but also as a consciously designed aesthetic layer of a building or infrastructure. With properly selected technologies, it is possible to give concrete surfaces texture, rhythm, geometry or graphics - without the need for additional cladding or secondary finishing elements. NOE-PL systems make it possible to design concrete as an integral element of an architectural composition that combines structural durability with the intended visual effect.

NOEplast - polyurethane structural matrices for architectural concrete

NOEplast is a system of structural matrices made of polyurethane elastomer (PU), designed for shaping the surface of architectural concrete on facades, retaining walls, bridge elements and architectural details. The solution is used both in prefabrication and on-site monolithic realizations.

The matrix mounted in the formwork acts as a precise form, which gives the concrete surface a designed texture drawing, compositional divisions and controlled chiaroscuro. It allows the realization of structures inspired by natural materials such as wood, stone or brick, as well as individual patterns developed specifically for a given project - in accordance with the grid of facade divisions or urban planning assumptions.

The flexibility of polyurethane allows the structure to be guided on curvilinear surfaces, with small radius curves and in areas with complex geometries, while maintaining pattern continuity and clear edges. From an implementation perspective, the repeatability of the effect is key, allowing the visual quality to remain consistent throughout a series of precast elements or on large areas of in-situ concrete.

NOEliner - an economical line of PVC structural mats, also for anti-slip structures

NOE has been supplying collections of mats for texturing concrete utility surfaces for many years. One of them was developed specifically for making anti-slip structures on balconies, terraces, sidewalks, steps, landings, walkways and in common areas of residential and public facilities.

Rounding out the range is NOEliner, an economical line of textured mats made of abrasion-resistant PVC, embossed on a non-absorbent fabric that provides very good adhesion to smooth formwork surfaces. Thickness of about 2 mm promotes easy installation by gluing, which makes it possible to level joints at formwork panel joints and reduce the impact of local plywood irregularities.

Surfaces made with this technology retain the durability inherent in concrete itself and do not require the cyclic replacement or repairs characteristic of solutions based on stone, ceramic or composite cladding. The stability of the structure translates into reproducible quality of the final surface and predictability of the effect throughout the execution cycle.

Graphic Concrete - technology of graphics in concrete with architectural character

Graphic Concrete is a patented technology that enables the reproduction of attractive and durable patterns and images on precast concrete surfaces such as facades, partitions, walls, floors and paving slabs. It provides both timeless and aesthetically pleasing details that enhance a building's architectural appearance. From its inception, Graphic Concrete technology was developed as a tool for architects and designers. With this tool, they were able to integrate their visual creativity into construction projects and design large-format concrete surfaces. All building elements precast by horizontal casting are suitable for this application.

Today, Graphic Concrete is a proven concept in the precast concrete industry. Since our inception in 2002, Graphic Concrete solutions have been used worldwide in more than 1,500 projects in 32 countries. Our list of international projects shows the wide range of projects where architects can use Graphic Concrete: whether the project is public, residential, commercial, industrial or infrastructure. With Graphic Concrete, architects and designers can transform their visions into impressive buildings and structures.

Our products can be customized, and the result of each project is unique. Our solution is to print the desired image on paper, which is then sent to a local precast concrete company for casting. Once the concrete has hardened, the membrane is removed and the surface of the slab is washed to expose the aggregate contained in the concrete. The image is created by the contrast between the face and the surface of the exposed aggregate. Creating excellent architectural solutions doesn't have to be expensive. Our solution is economical because the surface is produced ready for installation and requires no additional cladding. Maintenance-free facades are especially important for tall structures, for reasons of safety and overall cost.

ARbloc - formwork for complex geometries

ARbloc specializes in the design and manufacture of coated polystyrene (EPS/XPS) formwork for complex cross-sections where traditional carpentry solutions are inefficient, time-consuming or difficult to maintain the required repeatability.

The molds are made to measure for, among other things, cornices, arches, vaults, niches, columns, stairs and finishing details in facing concrete - both for restoration work and new projects. Complex profiles are achieved through CNC machining, which allows precise control of geometry throughout the series of elements.

Depending on the project requirements, appropriate coatings and reinforcements made of modern materials are selected to support the resistance of the forms and the quality of the final concrete surface. The solution makes it possible to realize individual architectural shapes with consistent execution and high accuracy of detail reproduction.
