Moisture is one of the biggest challenges for contractors when building and renovating homes and apartments. Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms or home wellness areas require materials that not only provide an aesthetically pleasing finish, but above all are resistant to moisture and frequent temperature changes .

The right choice of panels for wall and ceiling development is crucial to the durability of the entire structure - it protects against cladding peeling off, mold growth and costly repairs in the future.
This is why it is so important to match the materials to the moisture level in the room. RIGIPS offers solutions for a variety of conditions - from standard kitchens and bathrooms to heavily used bathing areas. Among them is the innovative Rigips Glasroc X Ocean gypsum board, created specifically for rooms with higher humidity levels.
Plasterboard with innovative hydrophobic glass matting
Rigips Glasroc X Ocean is a new generation gypsum board, reinforced on both sides with a hydrophobic glass fiber mat, providing excellent performance in high humidity conditions. This board is not coated with cardboard and does not contain cellulose, so it has a high natural resistance to mold growth and is ideal for applications in wet and humid areas.
A gypsum core reinforced with fiberglass ensures that the board remains dimensionally stable in demanding conditions. It also provides an effective barrier to moisture, so it does not require additional sub-tile waterproofing, such as liquid film.

The installation and processing of Glasroc X Ocean boards proceeds in the same way as for standard plasterboard - they can be easily cut, installed and grouted, without the need for specialized tools. As a result, contractors work in a familiar system, while gaining a material with much higher resistance parameters.
Combined with ProMix Hydro joint compound and Mold-X Hydro tape, Glasroc X Ocean tile creates a tight, durable moisture-proof build-up. It is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and home spa areas.
Where different levels of resistance are required within a single development, Rigips Glasroc X Ocean can be successfully combined with Rigips PRO Hydro H2 boards to create a cohesive system tailored to the specifics of each room.

Rigips GypSerra® Hydroprofile C3 and C5 - durable construction, easy installation
An equally important element of a drywall system is the selection of appropriate steel profiles. Rigips GypSerra® Hydroprofil C3 and C5 profiles ensure high stability and durability of the structure in rooms with increased humidity. They can be used in environments with corrosivity category C3, typical for bathrooms, laundry rooms or home technical areas, as well as in corrosivity class C4 and C5 - GypSerra Hydroprofil C5 in home wellness areas: swimming pools and saunas. At the same time, they do not require any additional corrosion protection, which optimizes installation time. What further distinguishes them is the patented herringbone fluting pattern (patent no. 201741018271), which increases their rigidity and resistance to deflection.
As a result, it is possible to make wall cladding up to 11 meters high and allowable loads of up to 60 kg/m², while maintaining structural stability and safety. The profiles are easy to work with - they can be easily cut with hand shears, screws can be inserted into them and they can be precisely adjusted to the structure. CW elements can be moved freely in UW profiles, which facilitates adjustment, speeds up work and minimizes the risk of installation errors. Thanks to all these properties, GypSerra® Hydroprofil C3 and C5 profiles allow you to create durable and resistant structures that maintain the necessary resistance parameters confirmed by tests of the Institute of Building Technology. They are fully compatible with boards designed for development in areas with increased humidity, which ensures a seamless fit of all elements of the system.
