Planet-friendly material. What are mineral surfaces?

New regulations and the expectations of increasingly conscious consumers, are forcing manufacturers to look for eco-friendly alternatives. One such innovative planet-friendly material is mineral surface.

Recycled stone

Of course, using natural materials instead of their artificial counterparts has a positive impact on the environment. However, it is important to remember that the planet's natural resources are not inexhaustible. For example, the formation of stone is a process that requires hundreds of thousands or even millions of years, depending on the type and geological conditions. It is therefore worth looking for alternatives that can replace limited natural resources. One such material is mineral surfaces.

How are mineral surfaces created?

Hybrid mineral surfaces are made from 5% up to 80% recycled raw materials. Materials such as glass and mirror fragments are used in their production. What's more, 100% certified renewable energy and 99% recycled water are used to create them. Manufacturers also make every effort to recycle as much waste as possible. Mineral surfaces are also often carbon neutral.

Where to use mineral surfaces?

Modern mineral surfaces are an alternative to natural stone, both visually and in terms of use. This material can replicate granite, quartzite, travertine or marble. It is also resistant to scratches, moisture and stains. Mineral surfaces are available on the market in various thicknesses and formats. This makes them widely applicable. Large-size mineral surfaces will work well, for example, on the facade, floor, countertop, but also as cladding for walls and furniture.
