Efficiency on a macro scale - Gree Versati heat pumps in a cascade system
Today's energy standards and the increasing scale of developments - from hotels to multifamily buildings - require designers to develop highly efficient and flexible heating systems. Gree Versati's proven single-family heat pumps address these challenges with advanced cascade systems and innovative digital tools that optimize the decision-making and investment process.

Risk-free design. Gree Selection Calculator
The foundation of any successful thermo-modernization or new investment is a reliable determination of the facility's thermal power requirements. Mistakes at this stage - both underestimation and oversizing of power - carry serious consequences: from lack of thermal comfort to economically unjustifiable operating costs and premature wear of appliance components.
To support architects and investors in this crucial process, the Gree brand has released an advanced online tool - the Heat Pump Selection Calculator (available at gree.com/calculator). It is a free solution that allows you to:
- Accurate calculation of heat demand: based on data on square footage, location (climate zones) and standard of partition insulation, the algorithm defines the necessary heating power.
- Automatic selection of models: the system not only provides numerical values, but immediately suggests specific units from the Versati series that best fit the building specifications.
- Cost optimization: the tool helps to avoid buying too large a unit, which realistically reduces investment expenses.
- Professional documentation: the generated data provides an excellent basis for discussions with the installer and can be an appendix to the initial design concept.

Cascade systems - flexibility in buildings with high demand
In facilities such as hotels and public buildings, the demand for heat and domestic hot water (DHW) is highly dynamic. The use of a single pump with a very large capacity is often inefficient, especially during transitional periods.
Gree's cascade system allows two to four Versati units to be combined into one integrated system. Such a solution offers unique flexibility: at times of peak demand, all units run, while at lower loads the system smoothly shuts down unnecessary pumps. This ensures not only higher average annual energy efficiency, but also safety - if one unit is serviced, the others maintain the heating functions of the facility.

A new dimension of control: the Gree Versati cascade controller
The key to the smooth operation of a cascade is intelligent management. The new Gree Versati cascade controller allows the operation of systems with a total heating power of up to 64 kW (4 units of 16 kW each). This device continuously monitors operating parameters and external conditions, taking care of:
- Even consumption: The rotary operation function ensures that each pump operates for a similar number of hours, significantly extending the life of the entire system.
- Integration with modern building: Thanks to the MODBUS RTU protocol, the cascade system can be easily plugged into a master building management system (BMS).
- Intuitive operation: A touchscreen display allows you to view the parameters of all connected pumps in real time from a single location.

Overview of Gree Versati solutions for the designer
Gree's portfolio includes three types of heat pumps that can be freely configured as part of cascade systems or used individually as a heating source in single-family buildings:
- Versati All in One - compactness and integrated storage tank
This is a Split solution in which the indoor unit has an integrated 185-liter hot water storage tank. Thanks to the stratified charging of the tank, the user gains faster access to hot water at lower energy costs. For the architect, space saving is key - an indoor unit measuring just 60 x 65 x 180 cm accommodates a complete boiler room. These models are available in the power range from 4.0 to 15.5 kW. - Versati Monoblok - efficiency and ease of installation
Monoblok units are recognized for their high efficiency (COP of over 5.0) and the lack of need for F-gas certification for installation. Equipped with factory compressor crankcase heaters and two-stage peak heaters, they guarantee reliability even in extremely low outdoor temperatures. Capacity range: 8.2 to 15.7 kW. - Versati Split - classic reliability
Split systems consist of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, connected by a refrigeration system. Equipped with a built-in 3-way valve, they allow easy connection of an external hot water tank of any capacity. This is an ideal solution where the distance between units is considerable or a high degree of personalization of water storage tanks is required. With a wide power range from 6.0 to 15.5 kW, they are used both in small residential buildings and small commercial developments. High parameters and modern design make them extremely energy efficient and reliable.
Versati Split allows precise personalization of the installation thanks to a wide range of available wattages
