BSP aluminum balustrade system - anticorrosive, aesthetic and inexpensive

Aluminum is a construction material that goes well with modern and minimalist styles in architecture. It is increasingly used in architecture due to its light weight (compared to stainless steel), does not rust and is resistant to adverse weather conditions or temperature changes.

The BSP bal ustrade system is distinguished by its competitive price and ease of installation. The advantage of the system is also the extensive possibilities of combining individual elements of the system - which allows you to create unique, individual solutions. The elements of the BSP balcony rail ings were designed to create a product with maximum strength, while using as little material as possible. This could be achieved through specifically designed profiles.
The balcony railing post is mounted to the face of the panel using a support console. It is designed in such a way that its deformation at maximum forces loading the post leaves a large safety margin. Each component is easy to assemble and aesthetically pleasing. Mounting elements such as screws and rivets are hidden (for example, inside the bracket or under the caps) and invisible from the outside. It is recommended to use breakaway rivets, which cannot be unscrewed. Individual handles can occuŕ in various combinations with bottom mounts - which allows to obtain interesting solutions.

Four types of handrails

The company offers four types of handrails - two one-piece handrails (one with a decorative element, i.e. "deep" and one without it - "shallow"), as well as two-piece handrails ("deep" and "shallow"). This is a solution for easier installation, allowing separate installation of the profile for mounting the glass and the profile of the handrail, while maintaining the aesthetics of the structure. The two-piece handrail has a special space for the introduction of wiring for installation.

There are three ways of bottom fixing of the balustrade infill:

  • bottom fixing of the "standard " type - with a special cap that allows to hide the riveting of the profile to the balustrade post, making the whole look aesthetically pleasing;
  • bottom fastening with aluminum blending - this is a combination of the above solution with the profile of the masking blank, which covers the balustrade supporting consoles;
  • bottom support fastening of the "blenda-plate" type, which is a combination of the "standard" type fastening with profiles covering the support console, to which you can additionally attach a panel, such as HPL, fiber-cement or composite panel.

BSP KB system is an aluminum system for fixing external and internal balustrades with the possibility of using various fillings:

  • glass
  • of photovoltaic panels
  • from panels (e.g. HPL)

Balustrade systems made of stainless steel are up to 46% heavier than the system proposed by BSP. Profiles can be powder coated in any RAL color, fasteners are made of stainless steel. Balustrades can be mounted either on the face of the balcony slab (using a support console) or on the slab using a construction pad. In order to minimize the occupied space on the balcony slab, the mounting of the aluminum balustrade, is carried out: by mounting from the front with the use of the BSP support console or mounting on the balcony slab with the use of a construction pad. Mounting is selected on the basis of static calculations. The target mounting method is chemical anchors.

Fire protection, anti-corrosion requirements

Aluminum components of the BSP KB system are classified in terms of reaction to fire without testing in class A1 according to PN-EN 13501-1+A1:2010 on the basis of European Commission decisions No. 96/603/EC, 2000/605/EC and 2003/424/EC.
The BSP KB system is characterized by durability class B according to PN-EN 1999-1-1:2011 and can without protective coatings be used in environments with atmospheric corrosivity category C1, C2 and C3 according to PN-EN ISO 12944-2:2001. After carrying out additional protective treatment - anodizing of aluminum elements - it can also be used in environments with atmospheric corrosivity category C4.
