The modern architecture of sports facilities - from indoor arenas to gyms, fitness clubs, trampoline parks or children's playrooms - presents designers with challenges that cannot be solved with standard "off the shelf" products. It is essential to meet stringent lighting standards and energy efficiency. But nowadays attention is also being paid to visual comfort and lighting aesthetics. As a Polish lighting manufacturer HSK Ledy, for years we have been providing solutions that prove that LED technology is not only a cost-saver, but above all a precise tool in the hands of the architect.
A standard that takes care of the player and the spectator
The lighting of sports facilities is one of the most demanding disciplines in the lighting industry. It has to meet the PN-EN 12193 standard, which defines parameters for different classes of sports games. However, numbers on paper are not everything.
An athlete's greatest enemy is glare. Imagine a volleyball player serving the ball or a tennis player at a smidge - a split-second of glare from an ill-fitting luminaire can decide the outcome of a match. That's why we rely on luminaires like Aquarius AQ-13 Pro in many of our projects. Thanks to its refined design and milky diffusers, this luminaire effectively reduces glare, emitting soft, evenly diffused light, while maintaining high efficiency, up to 140 lm/W.

Durability proven in practice: IK matters
In sports facilities, luminaires are exposed to impacts. Here there is no room for compromise. The use of additional protective nets often spoils the aesthetics of the interior and limits the light output. Our answer? High-bay Hercules.
With certified IK08 impact resistance, Hercules needs no additional shielding. It's a robust, yet lightweight and efficient design, dedicated to the highest halls where lighting service is difficult and expensive. Once installed, Hercules is expected to work for years without failure. In addition, the luminaire can be equipped with anti-vibration protection, necessary in halls where vibrations occur - such as concert halls.

Precision of optics: Norma Slim and asymmetrical lighting
In some sports halls and on many outdoor fields like eagles, designers appreciate the Norma Slim series.
What sets it apart? The availability of asymmetrical optics. They allow luminaires to be mounted on walls, columns or side structures, directing the light beam exactly where it is needed - for example, on the playing field - without wasting energy on illuminating walls or ceilings. For builders looking for even greater savings, we have developed the Norma Super generation, which pushes the limits of sports luminaire performance.
