We distinguish between four types of faucets based on the place of installation:
- washbasin
- shower
- bidets
- bathtubs

As for the method of installation, it is important to pay attention to which one is provided for in the installation design.
- Wall-mounted - that is, those that are mounted directly on the connections protruding from the wall
- standing or stall-mounted - we install on the edge of the bathtub or washbasin
- concealed - the mechanism is hidden in the wall, highlighting only the decorative elements on the outside. They are increasingly chosen for their minimalist form.
- Freestanding - tall faucets that we install in the floor, most often next to free-standing bathtubs

The last category is the division according to the method of operation or, more simply, the number of handles. Here again we distinguish between four types of faucets:
- Single-lever - the most popular type, they have a single lever to regulate water pressure and temperature.
- Two-lever - here we have two taps responsible for hot and cold water
- Thermostatic - they maintain a constant temperature, due to a thermostat with a built-in water temperature lock (usually within 38°C )
- Touchless or electronic - found in homes far less often, used rather in shopping malls or other public places. They are activated by an infrared motion sensor.

Now that we know what to look for on the technical side, it's time for the more pleasant part - design. It guarantees full versatility and allows freedom of choice of faucets, depending on whether our project involves concealed, wall-mounted or perhaps free-standing solutions.

When choosing faucets, it is also worth paying attention to the technologies on which the products are based. An extremely practical and economical solution is a system that reduces water consumption. It applies mainly to basin and bidet faucets.

It is not worth overlooking aspects that can make our daily life and functioning easier. Easy clean, which is a special coating that protects faucets from limescale and dirt and makes them easier to clean, is a technology that would make daily cleaning less of a chore.
