INDOOR AIR DISINFECTION TECHNOLOGY WITH UV-C RADIATION

Sterylis, a family of devices designed by engineers at MILOO-ELECTRONICS, a Polish manufacturer of air disinfection systems, electronics and LED lighting, allows for comprehensive health protection in various types of rooms and buildings.
The effectiveness of Sterylis technology in combating coronavirus and other pathogens has been confirmed by scientists in studies conducted in covid hospitals. The system of complementary solutions includes innovative free-standing, ceiling-mounted and duct-mounted devices.

SCIENTISTS - AIR SHOULD BE DISINFECTED CONSTANTLY

In 2021. WHO, after an appeal by many scientists from around the world, officially recognized the airborne route, in addition to the droplet route, as the mechanism of transmission of SARS-CoV-2. This means transmission of viruses through so-called aerosols, i.e. particles emitted when we speak or simply breathe. They persist in indoor air for up to 12 hours.
The development of the pandemic has made scientists pay attention to indoor air quality and the resulting risks. In their view, the scale of air regulation should be similar to the 19th-century transformation in the construction of municipal clean water and sewage systems. This helped protect the population from recurrent cholera epidemics, among other things. Experts point out that air should be thought of in the same way as water and food, which we disinfect and sterilize as standard. When designing buildings, current respiratory diseases and future pandemics must now be taken into account.

DISINFECTION WITH UV-C RADIATION

The answer to this trend is a series of solutions based on STERYLIS technology, which provide the highest possible degree of indoor air safety. They use UV-C disinfection, proven air filtration methods and, in addition, sterilization in more advanced models. Devices operating with STERYLIS technology clean the air continuously, without the need to leave the premises. This increases the comfort of working and staying in buildings.
The versatility of the technology makes it suitable for use in new projects, as well as part of the modernization of existing buildings. STERYLIS works well as a system solution in terms of entire buildings, as well as selected rooms, such as those with frequent human contact.

EFFECTIVENESS OF STERILIS TECHNOLOGY IN COVID HOSPITALS

The effectiveness of STERYLIS solutions has been confirmed by scientists from the Jagiellonian University. The technology was tested in the covid wards of hospitals in Bochnia and Krakow. The air, filters of the devices, as well as the masks and surroundings of the patients were analyzed in detail. Samples were taken before and after UV-C disinfection. The results confirmed that STERYLIS effectively destroys the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

- The virus is eliminated by the device from the air, says Anna Różanska, PhD, from the Department of Infection Control and Mycology, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology, Jagiellonian University.

Its presence was confirmed on the face side of patients' surgical masks. It was also present on the inlet pre-filter with which the air present in the room was introduced into the STERYLIS device. After the air passed through the device, after UV-C irradiation, the assay was negative on the outlet filter.

STERILIS DESTROYS VIRUSES, BACTERIA, FUNGI OR MOLD

Laboratory tests have indicated that the technology also provides protection against other pathogens, such as bacteria responsible for hospital infections, fungi, molds, protozoa and mites.
Solutions based on STERYLIS technology disinfect the air with UV-C rays of the most effective wavelength in the fight against microorganisms - 254 nanometers. They can work continuously and are completely safe for the occupants. Thanks to so-called light traps, UV-C radiation works only within the disinfection chamber of the device.

STERILIS PURE AIR

A series of freestanding units with a modern, minimalist design that subject the air to HEPA standard filtration and UV-C disinfection. They are characterized by compact dimensions (670 x 360 x 260 mm) and low noise levels. The device monitors the operation of all components and automatically informs, for example, when filters need to be replaced. The service life of theUV-C lamps used inSterylis PURE AIR is 9,000 hours.

STERYLIS LIGHT AIR features a unique tool-less access system that guarantees quick and convenient servicing of the luminaire without disassembly.

STERILIS DUCT AIR

It keeps ventilation clean 24 hours a day, improves air hygiene and prevents the transmission of viruses from one room to another. Thanks to deodorization technology, it also removes unpleasant odors from the air. The device is designed for all kinds of ventilation ducts, around evaporators of air conditioning systems and filter sections of ventilation systems.
