Schöck's answer to these needs is Isokorb® IQ, an innovative load-bearing thermal insulation component that redefines the installation process for cantilevered balconies. IQlick - is our "smart click" technology. It allows for instant, dry jointing of precast reinforced concrete elements without the need for welding or concreting on site. It's pure efficiency and guarantees a perfect fit of the elements.

Speed and precision without unnecessary costs. The main advantage of the Isokorb® IQ system is the elimination of the time-consuming and costly shoring process. Traditional methods require holding the supports until the concrete sets, which blocks work on lower floors and limits logistics. The IQ system allows the balcony to be installed using a crane in as little as 15 minutes, and the structure, once attached, is immediately ready for a full load.

The project (One MilkyWay in The Hague) used a synergy of different solutions:

  • Balconies on the lower floors (2.10 m overhang) were protected with Isokorb® IQ.
  • Larger structures (overhang of 2.40 m.) were anchored using the classic Isokorb® K system
