6 wall coverings that will transform your interior

Are you looking for an interesting wall decoration? Do you want to go beyond the scheme of arranging with color alone? We present six original ways to finish your walls.

Architectural concrete

Architectural concrete is resistant to water, scratches and dings, so it can be used in any room. It can be spread wet, but an interesting effect can be achieved by using ready-made slabs. Especially since they are available in many patterns. From the most traditional, imitating raw cast reinforced concrete, through countless geometric forms and abstract motifs, to coffers that draw on classical architecture, or even herringbone or concrete laths. Such a spectacular effect will suit a space of any style, not just loft.

Gypsum panels

Gypsum panels are thin and lightweight panels with 3D motifs. They can be combined with any color of paint. These panels differ not only in motif, but also in scale. Some of them have a repetitive pattern designed so that the panel-covered wall or a selected section of it gets a relatively uniform decoration. However, there are also entire large-format compositions that turn a wall into a true relief.

Decorative mats

A lesser known, yet noteworthy type of wall covering is decorative matting. This is a type of large-format coating that is applied to the wall similar to wallpaper. The mat can imitate stone, wood or metal. There are also mats with a pattern such as ombre, quilted fabric motif or alligator skin pattern. Mats can be used regardless of minor irregularities, curves or unusual angles.

Facade and wall stone

Stone for finishing walls is created from a hard and durable, but relatively lightweight ceramic mass based on natural gypsum. As a result, it is created in a wide range of patterns and colors. With its help we can achieve the effect of broken sandstone, slate or quartzite at a much lower price. It is also much easier to install than stone slabs. Facade and wall stone can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Bricks

The use of bricks can completely transform an interior. In a modern apartment building, it will help create the mood of an old tenement house and from the heart of a bustling city, it will move over to a rural idyll. At the same time they exude warmth and bring you closer to nature. Individual models differ in size, texture and color, among other things. The most popular, of course, are the classic red bricks. However, black, gray and white bricks alluding to the rustic style are also great.

Lamellas

A few years ago, lamellas won the hearts of Poles. Their modern form with a 3D effect means that they are no longer associated with paneling from the PRL era. There is a wide range of models and colors to choose from, which will help bring the charm of wood into the apartment. Narrower or wider, with a denser or sparser rhythm of slats, with a uniform pattern of the selected wood species in a variety of shades or combining it with a smooth background. The choice is entirely up to us. There are also new proposals, such as slats fully covered with varnish or laminate in a variety of shades, including gray, white, black, powder pink and even gold or silver.
