Architects from Szydlik Wnętrza studio designed the interior of the apartment located in the attic. Rita Jankowska and Krzysztof Szydlik combined in it the inspiration of colorful Morocco with the climate of a Sopot tenement house.

A mixture of styles
The owner of the 110-meter apartment wanted the interior to be warm and cozy. He also wanted it to include expressive elements inspired by Morocco.
- The apartment is located in the attic, so the challenge was to recapture daylight and arrange the interior in such a way that it did not become overwhelming. Therefore, we decided to leave the ceiling open with the roof truss visible," explains Rita Jankowska.
Also, the whiteness of the walls is not accidental. They brighten up the interior and provide a great background for diverse furniture and accessories.

Living room full of colors
The living area is a combination of wood, bright walls and intriguing furniture and accessories, which stimulate and charge with positive energy regardless of the season. Vibrant colors dominate here. A turquoise couch and richly decorated pillows introduce an oriental character. A variety of textures, such as fur poufs and leather footstools, not only provide comfort, but also add variety to the arrangement. Uniform shades of large forms counterbalance patterned accessories. In turn, a large amount of natural wood, among other things, in the form of visible beams, introduces warmth and coziness. A wall decorated with a gallery of paintings introduces individual character and expresses the investor's taste. Also noteworthy is a rustic coffee table and a metal bar, emphasizing the stylish eclecticism of the space.

Entertainment corner
The living area also features a relaxation area. The attention here is mainly drawn by a colorful flipper with a Popeye motif, which gives the space a retro feel. The décor is complemented by eclectic furniture - a shabby chic-style bookcase, a variety of chairs and a zebra-patterned armchair, which add individuality to the interior. Green plants, such as a stately monstera, bring freshness to the space, while an oriental ceiling lamp and black-and-white photos add artistic expression.

Kitchen with an original finish
The entire interior is characterized by a casual approach to design, bold combinations of styles and unique details. The kitchen is no different. This part of the apartment is distinguished by an original finish of the wall above the countertop. It was laid with fish scale-shapedtiles in shades of green and turquoise, which bring to mind the seaside character of Sopot. The style of the rustic cabinets and brass details add a nostalgic touch.

A bedroom full of personality
The bedroom, as a place intended for rest, is more subdued. It is dominated by a combination of beige and green. This color scheme is complemented by accents in shades of maroon and blue. However, there is no lack of bold elements here. The upholstered bed headrest in a shade of gray contrasts with the expressive patterned wallpaper in retro style. The wall above the bed is further decorated with a large painting that adds artistic expression.

Wooden elements introduce coziness and harmony while potted plants, a metal lamp and gold accents, complete the whole, creating a space conducive to relaxation.

Contrasting bathroom
Another intriguing space is the bathroom. Here, however, the original design is significantly different from the rest of the interior. The dynamics is built by strong contrasts of white and black, giving the space a certain austerity. This combination is toned down by a calm gray wall. However, already on the floor we return to the "crazy" elements of the design. This is because it has been finished with patterned tiles creating an unusual composition.

There is also a place for a bathtub placed under the window. An interesting element is the soft, upholstered armchair with an ornate cushion next to it. This piece of furniture, unusual for a bathroom, adds warmth and coziness to the space. The green of the window woodwork and the door , meanwhile, links the bathroom's design with the rest of the interior.
