A modern house immersed in nature

In the heart of one of the green enclaves of Lodz right next to the Stefański Ponds, a house was created that combines minimalist design with the warmth and functionality needed by a family of five and their dog. The interior design of this detached house, designed by a renowned Krakow architectural firm, was entrusted to a studio that has worked with the investors for the third time - this time in the role of creator of their suburban haven. The goal was to create a harmonious, calm and tranquil space, corresponding to the intensive lifestyle of the householders. The interior was to be bright, natural and cohesive - and that's exactly what it is! The basis of the arrangement is natural materials, including primarily wood, and a soft, monochromatic color scheme - beiges, broken whites and subtle grays. The sophisticated style of the arrangement does not impose itself, but works in the background - calming and soothing. The interior combines modern architecture with the warmth of natural materials, creating a harmonious space for living and relaxation. The authors of the project focused on subtle minimalism, a light color palette and attention to every detail - from overscaled decorations to custom-made furniture. In this home, minimalist aesthetics meet coziness, and natural materials play first fiddle. The interior has been designed with remarkable consistency. Thoughtful details give the whole place an elegant but friendly character. This interior is an example of how, with a limited color palette and natural materials, it is possible to create a timeless space, conducive to both relaxation and everyday life.

Another fruitful cooperation

Working on this project was not only an architectural challenge, but also a continuation of the close relationship with the investors with whom the architects had already worked before. Already knowing well the needs of a family of five, the designers were able to approach the task with exceptional sensitivity and understanding. Already at an early stage of the design, a decision was made to subtly correct the functional layout of the house - so as to make the space even more compatible with the daily rhythm of its inhabitants. The children's rooms, bathroom and laundry room were enlarged, and additional glazing was introduced into the living area, which naturally illuminates the living room and opens it even more to the surrounding greenery.

Subsequent design stages developed in close dialogue with the owners. The architects prepared moodboards in two different styles to capture and refine the aesthetic needs of the investors. After jointly selecting a direction, a full concept of the interior was created in a 3D model, followed by photorealistic visualizations, detailed execution documentation and a complete equipment list - along with cost estimates and recommended suppliers. One of the key assumptions was full personalization - so the furniture was designed from scratch with specific users, their habits, lifestyles and daily needs in mind.

Harmony of form and function

The living room is a space where simplicity becomes synonymous with luxury, and functionality - with refined design. The dominant element is a large ivory-colored sofa, which not only provides comfort for the whole family, but also fits perfectly into the muted, monochromatic palette of the interior. Its soft lines and closed layout are conducive to both relaxation and daily gatherings - without excess form, but with maximum attention to comfort. Near the sofa stood sculptural coffee tables, whose organic forms and subdued colors subtly complement the arrangement. They are like contemporary works of applied art - visually light, but full of expression. It is such details that create an impression of subtle elegance.

The focal point of the living room is a TV wall made of wood. It is an element that does not dominate, but integrates with the rest of the decor, bringing coziness and warmth to the interior. Its linear form and careful finishing provide a backdrop not only for the screen, but also for the daily life of the residents. One of the living room's walls is entirely made of glass. This is a solution that opens the interior to the surroundings, letting in natural light and a view of the garden and terrace. On sunny days, the boundary between the house and the surrounding nature practically disappears, enhancing the sense of space, freedom and continuity between the living area and the garden. This living room doesn't need decorative fireworks - its strength lies in thoughtful proportions, top-quality materials and harmony with the surroundings.

Meals in the moonlight

The dining room, which is the heart of the living area, has an atmosphere of modern harmony and thoughtful simplicity. Designed for gatherings with family and friends, the space impresses with its minimalist elegance and careful selection of forms and materials. The central place is occupied by an impressive round table made of light wood. The furniture, with its scale and shape, is conducive to shared moments over meals. It is surrounded by subtle chairs inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics. Visually light, but comfortable and stable, they perfectly fit into the calm, natural character of the interior. The highlight of the composition is undoubtedly an unusual light fixture: the Moon lamp by Davide Groppi, with a diameter of as much as 120 cm. Suspended low over the table, it resembles a moon floating in the air. Its uneven surface and gently diffused light create a soft, cozy aura - perfect for celebrating everyday life. The lamp not only illuminates, but also sculpts the space, adding a theatrical touch.

A counterpoint to this softness is a low, minimalist cabinet in deep black, set against one of the walls. Its expressive form and dark color are a strong, graphic accent, which breaks the light palette of the interior and adds to its character. Juxtaposed with white walls and natural wood, this piece of furniture emphasizes the modern dimension of the arrangement and testifies to the architects' design courage. The whole exudes tranquility, but it is not boring - each element of the dining room tells about the need for aesthetic order, functionality and beauty in everyday life.

Monolithic kitchen

The kitchen in this house is the quintessence of modern minimalism. A small, but precisely refined space, where every element has been thought out with attention to aesthetics and functionality. Maintained in uniform gray tones, it exudes calm and elegance, perfectly matching the style of the entire interior. The background for this arrangement is formed by large-format tiles with a subtle stone drawing. The same pattern covers both the walls and the rectangular kitchen island, the worktop and the illuminated shelf above the food preparation area. Such material consistency gives the interior coherence and makes the kitchen almost a monolithic sculpture in the living space. The gray material is not overwhelming - on the contrary, combined with soft light, it gains depth and an elegant character. In contrast, the bottom cabinets are finished with wooden fronts, which bring some warmth and natural texture to the kitchen. This juxtaposition of rawness and coziness perfectly captures the balance that the architects sought to achieve throughout the house. The island integrates a sink with a black faucet, and a simple shelf that serves as a countertop has been added on the living room side. It's the perfect place for a morning coffee or a quick meal. Set near the island, three black hockers with rounded forms and upholstered seats introduce a subtle design twist and contrast with the sharp, geometric shape of the island. The whole is complemented by a large glass window, through which natural light enters the interior. Soft, light curtains visually soften the severity of the materials and add softness to the space. This is a kitchen that is not conspicuous, but impresses with its discreet elegance and architectural consistency - ideal for those who appreciate simplicity of form and high quality of detail.

Cohesive interior dominated by wood and light

The first floor of the house is a private zone. It includes children's rooms, a functional laundry room and the parents' bedroom with an adjoining dressing room and an open bathroom. The investors' private zone is a kind of separate apartment overlooking the greenery. The bedroom is a continuation of the stylistic narrative familiar from the living room. The space is minimalist, but at the same time extremely cozy, where soft lines, warm light and a balanced color palette reign supreme. With the help of a glass wall more than 6 meters long, the owners have the opportunity to relax at home, looking at the soothing nature. The gray heavy curtains make it easy to regulate the flow of light and create an intimate atmosphere, ideal for relaxation.

In the center of the room stands a large white bed with an upholstered, rounded frame - like an enveloping island of tranquility that invites you to relax. The piece of furniture rests on a round carpet in a light beige shade, which softly wraps your feet and adds a homely touch to the interior. Instead of classic bedside tables, a small round coffee table made of light wood appeared here. Right next to it was an armchair with a similarly organic form, and behind it stood a simple lamp in a shade of broken white. Its discreet presence complements the interior without imposing on attention. Opposite the bed is the TV wall, finished in a warm shade of beige with a subtle rhythm of vertical, narrow decorations. This finish - though subtle - brings texture and architectural depth to the interior. Everything in this bedroom seems rounded, soft, inviting. There is no room for haphazardness here - each element is part of a larger composition aimed at creating a true asylum.

A bathroom where minimalism meets nature

The bathroom in the private area of the house is a space where subtle elegance meets functionality at the highest level. As in the rest of the house, wood and soft light dominate here as well. The bright, consistent color scheme and carefully selected materials are in keeping with the minimalist yet cozy character of the entire interior. The focal point here is a cabinet integrated with a double sink made of the modern material Krion - a resistant, seamless composite that not only impresses with its aesthetics, but also with its ease of cleaning. A cabinet with drawers under the sink and designer mirrors with rounded edges are part of the language of the overall design.

A light curtain filters the light, adding intimacy and tranquility to the interior. Attention is also drawn to the carefully selected fixtures and ceramics - the finishing elements from recognized European brands not only emphasize the class of the interior, but also guarantee durability and the highest quality of use. There is no room for randomness here. Every detail has been thought out and matched to the whole. Organic accessories such as ceramic vases with pampas grasses, on the other hand, bring nature and a touch of boho style to this modern space. It's an interior that offers everyday comfort, but also the pleasure of interacting with good design.
