Roman blinds

The quickest and easiest way to clean Roman blinds is, of course, to prevent them from getting too dirty. This simply means a quick dusting with the soft attachment on your vacuum cleaner, if the fabric is fairly sturdy. If the fabric of the blind is delicate, such as embroidered patterns, we must be careful and instead use a dust broom or microfiber cloth. After such a quick cleaning, we can spray the fabric with fabric freshener for a fresh finish. If there are stains on our blinds, use a clean, damp cloth that is completely wrung out to avoid stains left by water. If that doesn't help, you'll need to use a detergent. You may need to add a special stain remover. Identify the material and care instructions for the specific blind. It is a good idea to test the special agent first on a not very visible area of the blind, so as not to damage it by accident.
Can you put Roman blinds in the washing machine? Theoretically yes, depending on the material they are made of; some fabrics for Roman blinds can potentially be washed in a washing machine, although many cannot. So if you want to be sure that nothing will happen to your blinds, you can take them to a dry cleaner.

Vertical roller blinds

One of the easiest ways to clean your home's vertical blind s and keep them in excellent condition longer is to vacuum them regularly. The best way to do this is to use a dust broom or a vacuum cleaner with a special nozzle.
We can also remove the blinds to clean them. All you need is a large flat surface anda damp tissue or cloth. Simply wipe them gently on both sides, without pressing too hard. Then dry them with a towel before hanging them again and you're done!
However, if you want to thoroughly clean such blinds, after removing them, soak them in a bowl or tub of warm water adding a very mild detergent to wash them. We must remember to dry the blinds properly so that they are not creased and do not need to be ironed.

Wooden roller blinds

If light cleaning is all your wooden blinds need, a broom or dry cloth will do! First, tilt the slats so that they are closed and lightly dust them, then tilt the slats in the opposite direction and repeat the process again.
If you want a beautiful wood finish, use some furniture polish and a lint-free cloth. Let's arrange the slats in an open position, then apply paste to the cloth or spray the center of the slats. If we find it difficult to clean the spaces between the parts of the blind, we can wrap a cloth around the object that fits between them - then we can easily polish the upper and lower parts of the slats at the same time in no time.

Venetian blinds

In addition to the traditional vacuuming of Venetian blinds, they are cleaned with special "finger" brushes for cleaning the slats.
However, if they require a slightly deeper cleaning, carefully remove the blind and put it in a bathtub. Warm soapy water should suffice. As it is, soak it for about half an hour and then gently scrub it with a toothbrush. When finished, rinse off the soap suds and let it dry, then wipe it with a towel and hang it up again.

Pleated blinds

When it comes to cleaning pleated blinds, in most cases vacuuming with the brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner is enough. If you have more stubborn stains, use warm water and a soft cloth to wipe them off. If the blind is damp when you're done, lift the blind fully up to the top of the window and leave it there for a few hours to make sure the pleats are still perfect when you lower them back down.
