In one of the most beautiful and green districts of Gdansk, near the historic Oliwa and the forests of the Tri-City Landscape Park, there is a unique 60-square-meter apartment. Located on an intimate estate surrounded by lush nature, it offers residents respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a space designed by Hanna Brzozowska of the Studio Inbalance studio for a young couple and their four-legged friend. The owners dreamed of an interior that would be functional, aesthetically pleasing and open to their personal style - a place they would fill with their own stories over time. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the project and how the designer harmoniously combined vintage influences, Copenhagen elegance and modernity to create a space that remains practical on a daily basis.

Design assumptions: balance between aesthetics and practicality
The goal of the project was to create an interior that is not only beautiful, but also durable, and at the same time allows the residents to express their own personality. Hanna Brzozowska focused on natural materials, a subtle color palette with bold color accents, and refined details that give the interior character, leaving it open to future changes.

Durability and naturalness in design
The project used natural materials such as wood and veneer, which not only look beautiful, but also guarantee longevity. Oak floors and veneered built-in elements create a warm, cozy atmosphere, fitting in with the trend of eco-friendly and timeless arrangements. These types of solutions are ideal for people who are looking for durable yet aesthetically pleasing materials for their home.

Eclecticism with a touch of Copenhagen elegance
The aesthetics of the apartment are a harmonious blend of different styles - from vintage, to Copenhagen elegance, to modernity. Simple, minimalist forms are interspersed with bold accents, such as pink kitchen cabinets and colorful accessories. Such eclecticism makes the interior unique, but not overwhelming - each element has been carefully selected to create a cohesive whole. If you want to introduce eclecticism into your home, start with simple forms and neutral colors as a base, and then add bolder accents - for example, colorful furniture or vintage accessories. The key is moderation and consistency in details.

The kitchen and dining room as the heart of daily life
The owners love to cook, so the kitchen and dining room have become the focal point of the apartment. It's a space where functionality meets aesthetics, creating the perfect place for communal cooking, meals and conversation.
Kitchen: warm pink and practical solutions
The lower kitchen cabinets in a delicate shade of pink give the interior warmth and subtle elegance, breaking the stereotypes of typical kitchen colors. White upper cabinets and wooden shelves add lightness, while the veneered section, hiding the refrigerator and appliances, provides a crisp, warm backdrop for the dining area. The countertop made of durable material is resistant to daily use, and bright vertical tiles on the wall introduce a modern touch.

The open shelves featured carefully selected accessories: cookbooks, colorful containers and decorative dishes that give the kitchen a personal touch. A coffee maker and small potted plants were placed in the corner of the countertop to enliven the space and bring a touch of nature into it. Open shelves in the kitchen are a great way to display beautiful dishes and accessories. Remember to keep things organized, though - too many items can make the space look cluttered.

Dining room: vintage and designer style
The focal point of the dining room is a round vintage wooden table from the 1960s, which is both a practical piece of furniture and a real gem of design. It is surrounded by a variety of chairs - from classic wooden models to modern seats in black and burgundy, which gives the space an eclectic feel. Above the table hangs an iconic lamp by Louis Poulsen, whose warm light creates a cozy atmosphere during evening dinners. A vase with a bouquet of fresh flowers was placed on the table to add color and life, while a bowl of fruit and a linen napkin were placed next to it - small details that emphasize the attention to detail.

Cozy arrangement
The living room features lounge furniture: a sofa in neutral tones and armchairs in subtle colors. They are complemented by minimalist coffee tables with simple forms. A shelf was installed above the sofa to display books, decorations and personal mementos. Opposite the sofa is an oak bookcase that houses a turntable and a collection of books - a space that combines functionality with the residents' passion for music and literature.

Nature in sight
A large balcony window opens the living room to the forest of the Tri-City Landscape Park, creating the impression that nature is at your fingertips. A pot with a large plant is set in the corner of the room, further emphasizing the interior's connection to nature. It's the perfect place to relax after a busy day. If you have large windows in your apartment, use them to bring more nature into the interior. Place plants or light furniture near them that won't obstruct the view - a simple way to create a harmonious space.

Hallway: first impression with character
The hallway welcomes visitors with original details. A floor of large-format tiles arranged in a checkerboard pattern gives the interior a unique character, while a veneered console and a mirror in a thin red frame add elegance. This space is the perfect introduction to the rest of the apartment.

Bathroom: elegance in warm tones
The owners' bathroom harmonizes with the rest of the apartment, combining natural materials with bold accents. Wooden built-ins over the toilet, microcement on the walls and a coral sink cabinet create a warm, elegant atmosphere. A terrazzo countertop and blue tiles arranged in a geometric pattern on the floor add originality to the interior. This is a space that is both functional and beautiful.

Bedroom: harmony and individuality
The bedroom is a place where a variety of materials and forms create a cohesive whole. A cream-colored closet and a bed with a decorative headrest provide a neutral base, while the juxtaposition of furniture - a red bedside table and a steel and glass cabinet - gives the interior an eclectic feel.

Atmospheric lighting and details
Lamps in the bedroom build a warm, atmospheric atmosphere, ideal for evening relaxation. A subtle dressing table with a rattan chair and a mirror opposite the bed add functionality and elegance. A large window overlooking the forest, as in the living room, brings calm and harmony to the space.
