In our latest series titled "Designer Icons," we look at designers whose work goes far beyond classic design - from furniture to lighting to entire public and private spaces. In today's episode, the protagonist is Tatiana - the creator of latii.bleti, a brand emerging in Upper Silesia. This is a story about light, which is not just a function, but a starting point for building the mood and identity of an interior. About craftsmanship that does not pretend to be mass production, and about locality, which is not a fashionable buzzword, but rootedness. Latii.bleti is an example of a consistently developed idea: a lamp as an authorial design element, not a finished product from a catalog. In a world of repetitive forms, this brand offers a different perspective - light as an experience.

Latii.bleti - author's lamps
handcrafted in Upper Silesia.
Tatiana creates handcrafted designer lamps in short series or as single pieces. Each model is created by hand, with attention to design and detail. It's a process that requires time, focus and collaboration with artisans who understand the importance of precision. Latii.bleti lamps are not designed as a neutral background for an arrangement. The author treats them as a conscious element of the composition - a detail that builds the atmosphere of the space and affects the perception of the entire interior. The light here is not only of utilitarian importance. It is designed to shape the atmosphere, bring out textures, draw subtle reflections on the walls and introduce a certain mood. This approach locates the brand in the area of contemporary design, where lighting ceases to be an accessory and becomes one of the main narrative tools in an interior.

Light as experience.
Where did the idea for the brand come from?
The story of latii.bleti began with a question about professional direction. About three years ago, after a self-development course, Tatiana decided to clearly define what she wanted to do. She has always been close to manual work - crocheting, knitting, creating objects that require patience and precision.
The idea for the brand of my lamps came about 3 years earlier, when I went through a self-development course and asked myself what I really wanted to do. I have always liked to make all sorts of things manually, on crochet or knitting. Before latii.bleti was created, I had a brand of boho hats #rochwool, which I successfully sold on the Hel Peninsula during the summer season. Unfortunately, an injury and wrist strain prevented me from continuing to run the #rochwool brand... and that's how latii.bleti was created over time. "Latii bleti" was an expression in my childhood language, before I learned to say "lamp/light shines".
- Tatiana says.

Craftsmanship and technology
- two years of searching for the perfect frame
The first latii.bleti lamp was created more than three years ago as an experiment. The early realizations differed significantly from the current models. The process of arriving at the final form required not only conceptual work, but also solving technological issues. The key element of the design is the frame. The wires used to create the molds must be completely hidden under the yarn. The sharp angles need to be worked out precisely so that the structure is perfected in every detail. It took about two years to find a contractor capable of meeting these requirements. It was a demanding stage - time-consuming and organizationally taxing. At times there were doubts about the further development of the brand. Eventually, however, it was possible to establish a partnership with a craftsman ready to take on technical challenges. Today, this partnership is the foundation for further development.

What was the path from the start to today?
More than 3 years ago, the first latii.bleti lamp was created on the principle of seeing what I would get out of it. The first attempts and executions completely displeased me and were not similar to those of today. In addition, I struggled for a very long time to find a suitable contractor for the frames, because they could not cope with the requirements that the wires from which the lamp structures are made are hidden under the yarn, then the acute angles also proved problematic to make....
- Tatiana recalls.

And so temporarily it took me about 2 years before I met an expert frame maker. This search consumed a great deal of my time, energy and... I was almost ready to give up on my plans to drop everything and devote myself only to lamps, but I managed.... There are ideas for new lamps, maybe in time a series of products, seasonal shades, there is a friendly and willing to challenge rack maker and an unquenchable appetite to create and please lamp buyers. This is already happening
- adds the brand's founder.
Silesian identity in design
- model names inspired by dialect
One of the most distinctive elements of the brand are the names of the lamps: JAKLA, PARYZOL, KISTA, FUKAWIEC, FRELA, LIPSTA. Each of them is taken from the Silesian dialect. This procedure introduces an additional layer of meaning to the project. Upper Silesia is not just a place of production here. It becomes a source of inspiration and a cultural context. In times of global trends and standardized aesthetics, the local language acquires special power. Model names build recognition, and at the same time remind us that the brand is rooted in a specific region. It's a conscious gesture - identity-based design, not anonymous styling.

Personalization in interior design
- lamp as an authorial element
Latii.bleti works with interior designers on private and commercial projects: in apartments, hotels, offices, restaurants and boutique developments. Personalization plays a key role here. Lamps can be tailored to a specific project - in terms of form, color scheme, the character of the space or the intended mood. As a result, they become an integral part of the concept, rather than an accessory selected at the end of the design process. Each piece differs in detail - the number and arrangement of braids or color relationship. Repetition of the lamp in identical form 1:1 is in practice impossible, especially in multicolor models. In the case of individual realizations, an object designed with a specific person and interior in mind is created. Handwork, personalization and uniqueness are three principles that the brand considers non-negotiable.
Each latii.bleti lamp is a desire to showcase the beauty and framing of the light, so that each recipient can find something for themselves: colors, shadow scenery or kliamt that are authored by latii.bleti lamps. Each latii.bleti lamp is a piece of me, my style and my desire to share with everyone who is close to latii.bleti lamp design
- Tatiana emphasizes.

Sustainable design:
goEco program and second life of lamps
The development of the brand also includes the goEco program. Its premise is the possibility to give lamps a "second life" by changing the color scheme and refreshing the form based on the existing frame. Instead of replacing the entire product, it is proposed to modify an already owned piece. Such a solution is part of the increasingly strong trend of sustainable design and responsible approach to interior furnishings. In practice, it means extending the life cycle of the product and reducing the need to purchase a new piece of furnishings. This is in response to the growing awareness of investors and designers, for whom environmental issues are becoming an important selection criterion.

What emotion does latii.bleti's light create?
According to Tatiana, when the lamp is lit, the viewer should feel warmth, safety and an atmosphere that promotes identification with the space. The light is supposed to reinforce the feeling that a given interior is "own" - tailored, thoughtful, coherent. The most personal dimension of the brand is revealed at this very moment - in the relationship between the creator and the user. Each lamp is a carrier of her sensitivity to light, but only in a particular interior does it gain its ultimate meaning. Tatiana declares that she would like her lamps to be spoken of as a conscious choice - a decision that emphasizes the owner's courage and sense of style. It's an ambition that goes beyond the object itself and is about the way we think about design.

Latii.bleti - an example of a new approach to design
The history of latii.bleti shows that contemporary design is increasingly developing at the intersection of craftsmanship, locality and individual customer approach. This is a direction different from mass production and catalog solutions. The brand was born out of a personal need, went through a demanding stage of technological exploration and today is consistently building its position in the interior design community. At the center remains light - treated as a medium that shapes space.
