In Warsaw’s Kamionek neighborhood, there is an apartment dominated by textures, sounds, and scents. The clients are young enthusiasts of niche perfumes, and this unusual passion, combined with a love of textures, became one of the inspirations for the architects from Framuga Studio, who undertook the design of their 77-meter space.
A mirror at the end of the hallway
Warmth—that’s the first thought that comes to mind upon entering the apartment. This is thanks to the light color palette, which is the first thing to catch our eye. The narrow hallway, which was one of the design challenges, was brightened by a mirror placed at its end. This technique visually enlarges the space and adds an element of surprise.

A play of textures and materials
Irregular bricks have been laid on the floor, evoking the feel of a southern villa. They lead to a bright living room with oak floors, filled with soft fabrics and wooden veneer cabinetry. Textured plaster was used on the walls; its texture emphasizes the cozy character of the interior and enhances the feeling of being enveloped by natural materials. The materials were selected not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for everyday practicality—the lounge area, for example, features fabrics designed to be easy to clean.

Sunlight and patterns woven into the kitchen and bathroom
The kitchen is decorated in the colors of the sun. The yellow cabinet fronts are accented with decorative vertical grooves that highlight their natural texture and add character to the cabinetry. The intense color adds variety to the subdued color palette, giving the interior a more contemporary, urban character. The rhythmic divisions and repetitive textures are broken up by a fine terrazzo pattern appearing on the countertop and the backsplash.

The material used in the kitchen also appears in the bathroom, where it was used to create a monolithic sink. The color of the cabinets is echoed in the cabinet under the sink, creating a cohesive whole.

The TV’s hidden black finish
One of the most interesting design solutions in the living room is hiding the TV behind sliding panels finished with wood veneer. When the screen isn’t in use, its dark surface disappears behind the warm brown of the wood, allowing the unit to remain a cohesive element of the design.
The living room design features wooden chairs with seats made of woven seagrass, steel details, and carefully selected pieces of Polish craftsmanship. Among them are vases and ceramics by Paititi Studio, which bring a handcrafted, unique touch to the interior.

An energizing bedroom
The wall behind the headboard is finished in light green tones, and the grooved texture adds variety and highlights the flat surface. The bed itself is upholstered in light, soft fabrics that lend a calming touch to the whole space, and next to it are very simple wooden nightstands. Despite the color accents, the space is designed to promote rest and tranquility, while remaining connected to the rest of the apartment through the grooved panels, colors, and fabrics.

Timelessness and Naturalness
This interior exemplifies a harmonious blend of urban functionality with the atmosphere of a home inspired by a southern vibe. Natural materials, varied textures, warm colors, and handcrafted details create a space that appeals not only to the eye but also to the other senses. Sunny yellow, shades of wood, beige, and green come together to create a cozy, light-filled interior where every material and detail has been carefully selected to form a cohesive and timeless whole.

Urban Tranquility
Although the apartment is located in a bustling part of the city, its interior fosters calm and relaxation. The architects at FRAMUGA Studio combined the clients’ needs with functional solutions, transforming design challenges—including a long hallway—into the space’s strengths. Natural materials, varied textures, and bold color accents create an interior with a unique character, where the subdued base is broken up by color and texture, ensuring the space remains expressive and full of character.
