In the heart of Warsaw's Praga district, in a building from the 1970s, a project was born that from the first glance intrigues with the coherence of the concept, the courage to reach for expressive means of expression and an uncompromising approach to functionality. The apartment, which underwent a thorough metamorphosis, was designed by Anita and Boris Leydo - the duo forming the Leydo Tandem Studio studio. It was they, along with their dog and two cats, who gave the space a completely new character.

A space that responds to needs
From the threshold, it's clear that the interior has been designed with great awareness - both in terms of materials and space. The narrow and dark hallway, which in the original layout was one of the main drawbacks of the apartment, gained depth and light thanks to the mirrored design. This first design decision - turning a problem into a potential - foreshadows the direction the architects took. Here, intense warm red reigns supreme, with which both the walls and ceiling were finished. It's a bold but thoughtful procedure: the color not only defines the space, but also makes it cozy and expressive. It is balanced by a pattern of dark oak, present on the furniture fronts, walls and in the details.
This decor imitates veneer, and its texture is in keeping with the language of modernism, which the designers enriched with notes of warmth and homeliness. The corridor leads to the heart of the apartment - an open living area, connecting the living room and kitchen. In the living room, cashmere beige gently reflects light and introduces optical softness. At the same time, a deep green sofa appears, which introduces a touch of relaxation and softness - important not only from the point of view of aesthetics, but also for everyday use.

Architecture of the senses and respect for the place
The interior, although modern, does not cut itself off from the history of the place. An example is a section of wall in the living room, where raw reinforced concrete has been left in place. This is a subtle but significant reference to Prague's industrial identity. This material, often hidden or leveled, here has been treated as a conscious accent that introduces authenticity and architectural depth. Attention is also drawn to a custom solution for domestic pets - a special promenade for cats, routed along the furniture and walls. It's not only a decorative detail, but also an expression of care for the animal residents and their needs.

Private rituals and spaces of tranquility
The bathroom is one of the most distinctive rooms in the entire apartment. The entire space was kept black, with a skylight recessed into the ceiling. The play of light, contrast and surfaces creates a mood that is more reminiscent of a luxury spa salon than a standard hygienic space. The black does not overwhelm - on the contrary, combined with natural light, it gains depth and elegance.

The bedroom is a combination of a relaxation and creative work zone. It exemplifies a harmonious combination of modern aesthetics and cozy comfort. The interior is kept in a subdued, calm color palette - delicate shades of pink, peach and green are intertwined here with floral motifs, which bring warmth and lightness to the space. The centerpiece is a bed with a soft, upholstered headrest, carefully prepared with light-colored bedding with the addition of pillows and a bedspread, which enhance the impression of homely warmth. On either side of it stand minimalist bedside tables with discreet lighting, creating a functional and aesthetic complement. The space is optically enlarged by a large built-in closet with mirrored fronts, which brings lightness and subtle elegance to the interior. The naturalness is emphasized by the warm wooden floor, harmonizing with the whole arrangement. Airy curtains allow soft daylight to penetrate inside, while the greenery of a plant in the corner adds freshness and life to the interior. Bookshelves and carefully selected small decorations give the space a personal touch, without disturbing the minimalist, orderly form. The whole creates an oasis of peace and relaxation - a bedroom, which is not only a functional place of rest, but also a thoughtful aesthetic composition, conducive to tranquility and regeneration.
