Increasingly, we expect the home to be more than an address. It is to be a place that adapts to our rhythm - supports work, promotes rest, gives a sense of peace. This was the goal of the architects from D+S Atelier, who created a house near Tarnów that is a combination of functionality and balanced form.

Modernism with a human face
From the outside, the house intrigues with restraint. Flat roofs, clear lines and the contrast of black and white create a rhythmic, orderly whole. From the street, the block appears closed off, as if guarding the privacy of the house's occupants. However, it is enough to walk towards the garden to see a completely different face of this architecture. Here the space opens up to the light. Wide glazing, a terrace and a pergola connect the interior with the garden in an almost seamless way. You can see that the designers - Szczepan and Joanna Baran, Przemysław Kłusek and Jakub Strasik - thought of this house not just as a form, but as a living organism that changes with the times of day.

A house that works together with its residents
This is a place where professional and private life meet without conflict. The block has planned both a living area and an office - integrated but subtly separated. The architects avoided literal divisions. Instead, they created a space where one can switch from work mode to leisure mode without a sense of dissonance.

This is a response to the modern way of life - flexible, mobile, increasingly based on remote work. A home doesn't have to be a place to escape from responsibilities, if it can support concentration on its own and then allow you to calm down.

Garden - a natural extension of the house
Artmon Gardens from Tarnów is responsible for the greenery project. Here the garden is not a background, but a full-fledged element of the composition. The terrace, glazing and planting arrangement create a common, flowing landscape. On the side of the house, geometric lines and gabion walls dominate, which organize the space. Further on, the composition loosens up - ornamental grasses and shrubs appear in more casual arrangements. This allows the garden to breathe and the architecture to gain lightness. The highlight remains the terrace with a pergola - an area that becomes the heart of the house in the summer months. In the morning it is a place for coffee and notes for work, in the evening - a space for meetings and conversations. At night, the whole thing comes alive thanks to the lighting - delicate points of light draw rhythmic shadows on the facade, and the garden gains a whole new dimension.

A fence that completes the whole
Completing the project is the fence by Xcel - light, openwork, minimalist, designed in dialogue with the architecture. The combination of graphite and rust-colored steel with gabion elements makes the boundary between the house and the surroundings subtle. The garden and the building together form a single, thoughtful landscape - without heaviness and without randomness.

Architecture that supports everyday life
The house designed by D+S Atelier Architects is an example of architecture that does not try to dominate the user. It does not put itself in the center - rather, it allows the residents to live their own rhythm. It's a thoughtful arrangement of space, materials and light that organizes the day and brings calm. At a time when the boundaries between work and life are increasingly blurred, such a home becomes an answer to modern needs. It's not just a place to live, but a way to achieve daily balance.
