Interior design is the art of creating a space that tells the story of its inhabitants. In the case of this unusual apartment in the heart of Krakow, designed by architects from the Mango Investments studio, every wall, detail and texture is a chapter from the life of its owner - a woman full of passion, curiosity about the world and a penchant for unobvious combinations. The interior was to be bold, multidimensional and personal. And that's exactly what it is - like a kaleidoscope of memories, in which every element has its place and meaning. An apartment with a soul, surprising and at the same time extremely harmonious.

A kaleidoscope of personalities - an interior like a story of life
The investor's vision was clear: the interior is to be eclectic, full of contrasts and unexpected combinations, reflecting her passion for exploring the world. The result? An apartment that is like a kaleidoscope of memories, created with precision and attention to every detail.
We remember long conversations about colors, textures and lighting. Every detail was carefully considered, every piece of furniture selected to create a harmonious whole. Everything had to reflect the multidimensional personality of our client
- says Karolina Drogoszcz,
architect and owner of Mango Investments.

That's why this interior is so surprising. Its most spectacular point is the living room, connected to the kitchen and dining room, where attention is drawn to the ceiling - exceptionally richly decorated with stucco, complemented by a decorative chandelier. These intricate elements were exposed against a background of architectural concrete. The unexpected aesthetic contrast makes the eye linger here.
The industrial inspiration is complemented by a micro-cement floor. However, the interior is not "cool" - all thanks to its complement of warm materials. There is a lot of wood on the fronts of the kitchen furniture, a light gray sofa and wool carpets, which build an atmosphere of coziness.
Due to the somewhat "tunnel-like" layout of this room, we wanted to give it a different look, to redirect the senses to the "wow effect". Therefore, we covered the wall opposite the windows with a sheet of mirror to give the interior depth and reflect the natural light coming from the large glazing. At the window we designed a small relaxation zone, with a comfortable armchair and a standing lamp
- explains Karolina Drogoszcz.
Attention is drawn to a bookcase made of glass and black metal, set on a mirrored wall. It serves to display numerous souvenirs of the owner's travels. It contrasts with the soft lines of the light sofa and the warm shade of the carpet.

A balanced private area
The bedrooms, bathrooms and dressing room located in the apartment are an extension of the style prevailing in the living area. The architects reused in them, among other things, a cement floor, a concrete ceiling with stucco, the same shade of wooden furniture fronts, and, above all, an atmosphere in which surprising fusions of materials and details reign supreme.

Let's start with the unique bedroom of the lady of the house. The atmosphere of this interior is warmed by a large amount of wood on the walls and furniture. Although there is no lack of familiar industrial accents from the living room. The focal point here is, of course, the bed, whose presence is emphasized by a wall of transparent luxaffers, which beautifully let the light through. This treatment has not only a decorative value. Thanks to the use of foxholes, the functional closet located on the other side has been illuminated.
In the second bedroom, the architects opted for a juxtaposition of loft elements with lots of light wood.

The second bedroom belongs to the son of the lady of the house. The room is full of design references consistent with the rest of the apartment's interiors - here we have a concrete ceiling and walls and a cement floor. However, the architects opted for an interesting juxtaposition of loft elements with a lot of light wood warming the interior.
According to the main principle of modernism: "less is more" we focused on limiting the elements arranging this interior. Simple forms of furniture reflect the character developed for the entire apartment
- adds the architect.

Light in the leading role
The apartment also has two bathrooms - a larger and a smaller one. The former has room for a full bath program. But attention is again drawn to the ceiling, which the architects treated exceptionally in this project.
The entire ceiling is a source of light and evenly illuminates each functional zone of the bathroom. Such an arrangement is a reference to Japanese shoij walls, which gently but evenly let the light pass through.
- explains Drogoszcz.

The bath area is highlighted by a wall of gently veined panels. Light-colored cladding was also used in the shower stall with a linear drain, as well as on the other walls and floor. A dark accent, meanwhile, is provided by an area with a concrete basin and a toilet space. The whole is complemented by designer sconces moodily illuminating the interior.
The large bathroom has a bathtub, while the smaller one features a shower.

The small bathroom featured a shower and a spacious sink area, dominated by stone and anthracite veneer. The black toilet blends perfectly into this arrangement, "hiding" against the dominant sink. The shower cubicle set next to the luxe wall thus gains a unique aesthetic accent. Luxfers beautifully transmit light and give the effect of a shimmering sheet. The atmosphere of this interior is also created by the details - gold fixtures, accessories in matte black, unique ceramic lamps by the mirror and the mirror itself with atmospheric lighting.
