Situated on a picturesque plot in Warsaw's Wilanów district, the villa designed by the EXTERIO studio is an excellent example of contemporary architecture that can harmoniously combine luxury with proximity to nature. Just steps away from the bustling city, yet so close to wild nature - this modern residence with a usable area of 549 square meters stands out for its unique design, which focuses on spaciousness, light, subtlety of details and full integration with the surroundings.

Architecture in harmony with nature
- a house that becomes part of the landscape
The most important assumption of the residence's creators was the maximum integration of the building with the surrounding nature. Designers from the Exterio studio set out to take advantage of the unique natural terrain, which offered an amazing view of the greenery and the old-growth forest across the street.
We had to face the challenge that the most attractive view of the greenery was from the same side as the entrance to the plot. Therefore, we decided to move the house back into the plot and provide space for a garden, which would naturally merge with the green area
- recalls architect Marcin Klukowski,
co-owner of the Exterio studio, co-founder of the Hola Group.

The result of this decision is a spacious garden surrounding the house, which is a natural extension of the interiors. The main living spaces - the living room, master bedroom and terraces - have been planned to best enjoy the view of these picturesque surroundings. As a result, the house blends into the landscape rather than dominating it. The whole is subtly fused with nature, and the building not only fills the space, but also works with it.

Spaciousness and modernity
The architecture of the modernist villa is based on a modern, two-story body, which has been enhanced with spacious terraces. It was the terraces that became the centerpiece of the design concept. All rooms in the house were designed to have access to the terrace, and some of them are connected to the highest viewing terrace by an external staircase. This spatial arrangement allows for smooth transitions between the interior and exterior, creating a cohesive and natural communication between the building and the surrounding greenery.
The most distinctive feature of the terraces is this covered living room terrace, located in a corner niche of the building with a southeastern exposure. Thanks to the fact that the terrace is set out in the recess of the block, it not only gains a unique character, but also becomes the main functional and compositional element of the entire building. It is a space that is an integral part of the daily life of the householders - both during the day and in the evening, becoming a space to relax and enjoy the views.

Glazed interiors
- Light and spaciousness at the heart of the house
The interiors of the residence were designed to make the most of natural light. Glazed walls, reaching two stories in the living room, fill the rooms with daylight and open them to the surrounding greenery. The space has been designed around an impressive high lobby with a glass roof, which allows light to flow freely into the house. Such a treatment not only adds lightness to the interiors, but also makes the house seem much more spacious than its area indicates.
The lobby on the first floor leads out into the open living room, kitchen and dining room, which creates a spacious, cohesive whole. Thanks to the open form, the interiors offer convenience and freedom of use, which promotes the comfort of the residents. An important element of this space is also the lowered ceiling in the dining room, which isolates this zone while not closing it off to the rest of the house. The first floor has been divided into two zones - the parental and children's zones. The parents' zone includes a spacious bedroom with a dressing room and bathroom, which has direct access to the terrace. Children have separate rooms, which also have their own bathrooms and dressing rooms. In the central part of the first floor is a spacious room that can serve as a playroom, as well as a home theater, thanks to the possibility of dividing it with a folding wall.

A play of colors, materials and light
The architects of the residence opted for an elegant combination of modern materials that bring warmth and subtlety to the interiors. A characteristic element of the building is the contrasting combinations of bright white plaster with dark stone on the facades. The protruding cornices, which serve both an aesthetic and functional function (they form canopies for the terraces), have been covered with white plaster, which further emphasizes the modern character of the entire block. Wood has been used in many finishing elements - from soffits to terrace floors to sliding shutter panels. The use of wood gives the space a cozy, warm character, contrasting with the cool, elegant materials used on the facades. At the same time, the sliding shutter panels introduce a dynamic play of light and shadows, which gives the interiors additional character and subtle texture.

The residence as a living space
The Terrace Residence is not only a modern piece of architecture, but also a space that was designed with the comfort of its residents in mind. Architects from the Exterio studio created a house that not only impresses with its aesthetics, but also meets the highest standards of functionality. Terraces, spacious interiors, glazing and thoughtful arrangement of individual zones in the house create a place ideal for living in luxury, but also close to nature. It is a space that is a harmonious whole, where every detail - from the layout of the rooms to the choice of materials - is thought out and refined to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment of life. The design of this villa is a true gem among contemporary residences - a perfect example of how architecture can satisfy the highest demands both aesthetically and in terms of utility, while maintaining complete harmony with the surrounding landscape.
