Travel-inspired interior

The apartment designed by Denisa Chomik of DC Studio Interior Architecture has only 38 sqm. The investors, wanted to introduce the theme of travel, the couple's greatest passion, into the interior.

The whole apartment is kept in gray and white with additions of pink and gold. This combination creates a very classic and timeless arrangement. The owners wanted a functional space with as much storage space as possible.

Kitchen

The kitchen is connected to the living area. In this small space, the replacement for a table became a bar, which also serves as a bookcase. The kitchen area is separated from the living room by laths, thanks to which you can't see the kitchen clutter. Both in the kitchen and in the rest of the apartment you will find custom-made furniture made of white MDF and wood-like laminate. A piece of the wall was covered with a combination of blackboard and magneticpaint. This allows investors to attach magnets to it, which they collect from their travels. This is ideal, then, when the refrigerator is located in the built-in.

Living room

A suspended ceiling defines the living area. It features structural concrete, which is also on the wall behind the TV. There you will also find laths, which are an element that creates a cohesive arrangement of the kitchen and living room. The laths are illuminated with LED tape, which in the evening creates the perfect mood for long séances. In the living room, the attention is caught by a unique wallpaper with a world map located above the sofa. Looking at it, we get the impression that it is laid with bricks. However, this is only a clever visual effect. On the floor there is a natural plank and concrete stoneware.

Bedroom

The bedroom is a place filled with clever storage solutions. In this small room it was possible to design as many as two large closets. The closet opposite the bed is almost invisible thanks to the use of smooth fronts without handles. The headboard of the bed is formed by a closet and high upholstery. The mirrors on the end of the closet and opposite the bed, as well as on its right side, make the room appear larger.

Bathroom

The bathroom, despite its small size, accommodated, everything necessary. The washing machine was placed in a built-in under the sink. One drawer here serves as a basket for dirty linen, while the other is used as a place to store cosmetics. The same materials and color scheme were used in the bathroom as in the entire apartment. The floor was covered with woodgrain stoneware.
