Monika and Adam Bronikowski designed a 120-square-meter interior in Warsaw's Zoliborz district. The arrangement by architects from Hola Design studio was to be a surprise from a husband to his wife.
Private zone
The first step the architects took was to separate the living area from the private part. This is because this was what the investors cared most about. The role of a link between the living room and the bedroom is played by the host's study, an additional bathroom with a shower and a guest room.
- We were very keen that the effect should be as the hosts dreamed, especially since the final appearance of the apartment was to be a surprise for the owner. Her husband wanted her to see it only when everything was ready," explains Monika Bronikowska.

Wrapping pink
The bedroom was arranged in the style of a master bedroom. This means that it was combined with a bathroom and a dressing room. The bedroom itself is dominated by pastel colors complemented by gray, white and black accessories. Thanks to this, the whole creates a calm, harmonious atmosphere conducive to relaxation. The centerpiece here is a large bed finished with a soft upholstered headboard. Vertical panels in a shade of dirty pink occupy the entire wall. They are interspersed with mirrored sections, which add variety to the arrangement and optically enlarge the space. This detail also gives the interior a luxurious feel and emphasizes the height of the room.

Sophisticated decorations
The light tones are broken by black bedside tables placed on the sides of the bed. Lamps with dark lampshades were placed on them, which further add a sophisticated touch to the interior. Small details, such as a vase with pampas grasses and decorative pillows, warm up the arrangement. However, the main decorative element is a designer chandelier with round glass shades, which introduces lightness and a modern twist, and emphasizes the feminine character of the interior.

Feminine details
The wall opposite the bed was decorated with classic stucco, which creates a kind of frame for a subtle painting. On the other side, a dressing table was arranged next to the window. A black glossy table and a gray upholstered chair create a comfortable place for morning preparations. Most of the wall behind the dressing table was covered with a mirror panel. This saves space on the narrow piece of furniture, while providing a very large, comfortable mirror. Another functional solution are two crystal lamps, which not only illuminate the space well, but also make a beautiful decoration. The whole is completed with fleshy curtains in a shade that matches the upholstered headrest.

Bathroom behind the glass wall
The location of the bathroom proved to be a design challenge. This is because the architects had to connect the bathroom visually with the sleeping area, but in such a way that it also provided a sense of intimacy. This was ultimately achieved through the use of electrochromatic glass. What is it? Smart glass, or smart glass, is nothing more than a two-layer laminated glass that makes it possible to control the translucency of the steel-glass divider that makes up the walls of the bathroom. When needed, the color and light transmission of the glazing can be changed at the touch of a button.
- This solution was additionally made difficult for us by the fact that the electrically controlled glass is also in the bathroom door, a moving element, says the designer from the Hola Design studio.
Now all it takes is one "click" for the glass panes to fill with a milky white glow. However, if the occupants want to gloat over the view of their beautiful bathroom, the glass becomes transparent again.

Bath room
The bathroom arrangement is very impressive. It is actually a small bathing room, resembling a modern boudoir. There is room for a free-standing bathtub with a streamlined shape, a toilet and a suspended commode with a granite top, into which an elegant washbasin has been recessed. The central decorative element is an impressive chandelier made of crystal icicles, which when lit fills the interior with a subtle glow. The bathroom was located in a glass cubicle - when the glass is transparent, the space resembles a carefully designed exhibition. This solution not only enriches the design of the bedroom, but also gives it a fine, somewhat romantic character.
