Removal under control

Moving excites and frightens at the same time. A new place is a symbol of a new beginning, but first we have to deal with the hassle of packing and moving things. It is not uncommon for this to be accompanied by considerable excitement, and the move grows in our minds into an unattainable feat. What should we do so that we don't get lost in the undoubted confusion?

Let's do a thorough cleaning before moving

The best time to move is summer. Of course, not the hottest one, nor, on the contrary, the extremely rainy one. Instead, if we have a choice, let's plan to move things during the warm months.

Many months in advance, it's a good idea to start sorting drawers and browsing for unnecessary things. We can donate them to someone, or sell them off. This is a good opportunity to also organize documents and get rid of the unnecessary ones.

A few weeks in advance, it's also a good idea to plan meals in such a way as to use up as much of your food supplies as possible.

Next, we need to organize cardboard boxes and boxes in large numbers. In doing so, let's not be persuaded to spend unnecessarily. It is best to use packaging from the supply of goods from a nearby store. Those with handles and sturdy cardboard from glass bottles or household appliances will be perfect. It is worth remembering, however, that they should not be too large, so that we do not have a problem with carrying them and that they can withstand the weight of the things put into them.

For packing clothes and bedding, on the other hand, we can use vacuum bags, if we have them. By sucking the air out of them with a vacuum cleaner, we will save a lot of space. Clothes, on the other hand, which we keep on hangers, will be best transported in the same form, packing them only in covers.

It is a good idea to describe the contents of the boxes

When packing items, remember to maintain some logic, for example, by picking them thematically and describing each box. This will make it easier for us to unpack at our new place. Also, it's a good idea to put the more useful things we use on a daily basis on top.

For larger items, however, specialized transportation may be necessary. When transporting furniture, it is good to remember to protect upholstery and countertops from scratches. A specialized film or simply redundant blankets will be suitable for this. In order not to risk straining your back, it is a good idea to dismantle the furniture into parts, if possible.
