Paradise on the slope. Elegant design of a house with a pool

23 of December '22

The owners of the 330-square-meter house wanted the interiors to match the beauty of the mountainous landscape visible outside the window. Architects from MIKOLAJSKAstudio opted for a duet of classics and unobvious solutions.

Floral elegance

In the interior design, the architects opted for a combination of subdued whites and black, enriched with elegant floral motifs, consistently running through the entire property. The clients were also open to original solutions, such as dark ceilings and extravagant lighting. The project also used natural materials, including stone and wood. Due to the mountainous terrain, the body of the building was set on a slope, which further enabled the introduction of interesting solutions.

Living room with a view

Wanting to maximize the potential of the house's picturesque surroundings, the owners were primarily interested in a glazed living room, where they could spend time admiring the scenery. However, they didn't want to isolate this area from the rest of the room, so the architects decided on a sofa design, with modules facing each part of the interior connected to the dining room and kitchen. In addition to the phenomenal view from the windows, the arrangement also catches the eye with carefully selected lighting, including a lamp with irregularly shaped shades hanging above the table.

Elegant private area

In the interiors of the entire house, one can easily spot emerging floral motifs. They can be seen both in the glazed vestibule and the spacious bathroom adjacent to the owners' bedroom. In it, the dark wallpaper with a floral pattern is impressive, contrasted with the raw line of stones on the light sintering, which gives the room a brightness. The bedroom was decorated in a classic style and enhanced with gold accents, noticeable both in the lighting and the materials used in the bed headboard, TV cabinet and wallpaper.

For relaxation

The lowest part of the house is accessed by an original staircase made partly of wood and partly of black stone. On this floor there is a guest bedroom, a bathroom, utility rooms and a relaxation area - a swimming pool with a dry and wet sauna, connected to a stylish bar. The interior also did not lack a fireplace, and the perfectly exposed wall above the pool was decorated with beautifully illuminated natural onyx.
