What is quartz sinter?

Quartz sinter is a mixture of natural minerals. It is not found in the environment. This material is created by mixing and pressing a number of ingredients, including quartz sand, shale clay, granite rock and dyes. The flour is mixed with resin in the right proportions and then pressed under 400 bar pressure. The resulting slabs are hardened by firing in hybrid furnaces at temperatures of more than 1,200°C. This produces a large-format slab that is also thin. Such properties make quartz sinter widely applicable.

Properties of quartz sinter

Quartz sinter allows you to achieve the effect of real stone without the problems associated with the installation of natural stone slabs, which require the construction of special substructures. Quartz sinter slabs are distinguished by a variety of patterns and textures. They can replace mica, sandstone or slate, for example. Quartz sintered slabs are resistant to stains, impacts, abrasion and scratches. They are extremely lightweight, but at the same time very durable. They also do not wear out and do not change color when exposed to UV radiation. As a result, we can use them in places too sensitive for the original stones, such as kitchen countertops, tables or floors. Large-format ceramics made of this material are resistant to mechanical damage and dirt deposition. Thus, sinters are an excellent alternative to granite or marble. They also have a higher coefficient of hardness than them. Quartz sinters are very difficult to scratch, chip or otherwise damage. However, if there is a cavity, due to the structure of the stone, specialists will be able to fill it. Sintered stones are also environmentally friendly, as they contain no artificial ingredients. They are available in a variety of formats, but their huge advantage is the possibility of using large-format slabs, thanks to which we reduce the use of grout. The whole looks more aesthetically pleasing then.

Application

Quartz sinter is a durable and resistant material, so its application is very wide. We can use it both indoors and outdoors. Due to the fact that it is a non-absorbent material, as well as resistant to acids and chemicals, it is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. In rooms, it can be laid on the floor and even walls. It can also be used as fireplace surrounds, window sills and kitchen countertops. Quartz sinter is also used for finishing furniture. It all depends on our imagination. Before laying quartz sinter, the slabs must be cut. Specialized tools are needed for this. So you will need to hire a team of professionals who will not only accurately cut the material, but also install it properly.
