Design of a house in Stabłowice

On the outskirts of Wroclaw, in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by single-family housing, a minimalist building with a simple and functional layout will be constructed. Large glazing and characteristic indentations in the body of the building not only provide excellent lighting for the interiors, but also bring greenery into the living areas, which was the main design consideration.

The building is divided into two main functions: the residential part, located in the longer wing of the building, and a two-car garage in the shorter wing. The residential part is two-story and topped with a gable roof, while the garage is a simple block covered with a flat roof. The two parts are connected with each other by a glazed vestibule, inviting the interior of the residential part while providing a connection to the garage space. The front wall of the first floor is gently twisted with respect to the other walls, which creates a small arcade, and also directs to the main entrance to the building.

The seemingly simple mass is sculpted by green atria - penetrating into parts of the living room and the entrance area and vestibule. A similar indentation in the building was designed on the first floor, thus creating a terrace.

A significant part of the first floor of the living area is formed by a large living room with a kitchen, which are oriented from the southwest. The living room is illuminated by large glazed windows. Above them is a canopy, which blocks the access of the sun's harsh rays to the interior and at the same time provides pleasant shade on the southwest terrace. On the first floor there are two zones: for the parents - with a master bedroom, a private bathroom and a dressing room, and for the children with two bedrooms and a bathroom, connected by a glazed space filled with library bookcases with access to the terrace.

The color scheme of the house is monochromatic and restrained - most of the planes are white, the roof of the building is uniformly transitioned into the walls, the corner and the entrance area accented with black glazing At the same time, wooden accents have been introduced on the elevations, which gives the spaces created by these walls an atmosphere of coziness, contrasting with the minimalist form of the whole block.
