Choosing chairs for the interior is one of the more pleasant, but also quite responsible decisions, the consequences of which will be felt in everyday life. How to combine modernity with comfort, the desire for designer forms and the need for soft, comfortable upholstery?

From the need for diversity

Modernity in arrangements is expressed, among other things, by the eclectic nature of the decor. Items made of different materials, from other eras or cultural circles can stand side by side. Then, around the dining table, for example, there may be chairs of different styles, differing in color, texture of upholstery, but also in the material of manufacture. One of the more interesting looking ones in such a set will be those made of metal. They will go well with almost any type of table top, whether wooden, glass or stone.

The basis of industrial style

Metal is characterized by excellent durability, and thus resistance to damage of elements made of it. They can also have a variety of shapes, which allows designers unlimited freedom of creation. Metal surfaces are also conducive to cleanliness, and when you want to refresh their color, repainting will not be much of a problem.

Metal chairs will be the perfect highlighting of an interior with an industrial character, referring to the origins of this style. At that time, in the 1950s, during the US recession, abandoned factories began to be inhabited by artists. The halls served them simultaneously as apartments, studios and exhibition halls. Exposed metal elements such as pipes, fixtures and brick walls were typical in the interiors there. Today, referring to the local climate, furniture made entirely of metal is being introduced into the interiors.

A very strongly recognizable chair made entirely of metal is the Tolix model by Xavier Pauchard from 1934. In recent times, this chair has become a coveted and extremely iconic piece of furniture. It is characterized by the ergonomic shape of the seat and back, which makes it extremely comfortable.
